Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.

That shit should be a standard dlc for any game with mmo in it.. The standard game should of had 150-200 hours of story gameplay then 20+hours worth of dlc story.. Still a waste of money.

And sadly certain people are thinking that is amazing. Shit like this hurts consumers..

I have close to 800 hours in with just 1 DLC. The value is there. Of course I'm just in maintenance mode now, which means my time invest has dropped by close 75% per week. I still look forward to the weekly reset and the extra raiding and I'm really looking forward to this "comet" in the fall. I'm pretty happy with my ROI.

This dark below level is horseshit.

Everytime you think you are done they throw two more things at you. I run out of ammo before I can even finish the level.

They definitely raised the difficulty with the dlc story missions. I haven't even tried to solo them when they're daily heroics, they're bad enough on normal.

Although I did get through the nightfall somehow this week. I went it to get the 10 nightfall majors bounty from eris and ended up finishing the whole thing.

But it's all pretty tough.

yeah, it is tough as hell going solo. Wish I had more options.

what exactly do I need to do to upgrade my Vanguard rank? I'm earning marks slowly but the vanguard rank just doesn't move at all.

I just upgraded to Cryptarc rank three and no idea why or how.

Cryptarch rank goes up every time you turn in any engram, and (as I recall) up to level 3 it goes up pretty quickly with green and blue engrams. After that it slows down significantly.

The best way to level vanguard rank is to #1 run the Nightfall, because it gives you a bump that increases the amount of rank you gain every time you turn a bounty or patrol mission in. Then run the weekly heroic at level 30, which'll give you just under 500 rank. Then run bounties, particularly the one's that give 100 points, as well as the ones for patrol missions on various planets. The gray bounties are the ones you want - the red ones are for the Crucible.

Although even without the Nightfall or the Heroic you can pretty easily gain a full rank a week. There's generally 300-500 points worth of bounties available every day. I usually spend an hour or so a day running bounties. Or at least I used to, I don't do it quite so much now.

(Make sure if you're trying to gain vanguard rank that you don't have a class item for another faction equipped.)

Where exactly is Nightfall and what level is it? Right now I am just playing the daily mission when it falls at my level and the Tiger strike list.

BTW I'm only level 27 so level 30 is out of the question for me without help.

Oh, and how the hell do you know if the weapon you are using is for another class? This one is news to me.

Tried playing this at launch, couldn't get into it....think I'm gonna give it another shot.

It's all over my friends list and I have friends that play it religiously, including my brother in law. Gotta see what makes it so addicting lol.

The grind, and doing the raids with friends is a lot of fun to see what stuff you get.

Yeah I've been told from the beginning to about level 24ish is a grind and kind of tedious but after that is when the game gets real good and fun.

The nightfall is the bottom left option on the solar system map. It might not be available for you yet this week - it requires finishing the dlc story missions. Not the case every week. You should be okay to do it (with a group) when you reach 29. It's basically the insanely hard version of a flashpoint, but the reward is worth it (25% co and rep bonus plus rep plus marks plus a chance at an exotic item). Something to work toward, basically.

Oh, I wasn't talking about weapons. Referring to class items, like Hunter cloaks or the warlock armband thingy. Make sure that whatever you have equipped is an item for the faction you want to level.

Don't know if the guy does that every day, but basically once you've done bounties for a few days you'll work it all out. It's something you can do with limited time or friends to help get rank, level gear and work toward the level 30 stuff...

I am still struggling with the first level 26 mission of DLC. I get almost to the end and die every time. its getting on my nerves. I need someone to jump in with me to complete it.
