Seems pretty consistent with how several players seem to behave post retirement. Not all but some. Maybe some of it is head injury. Maybe some of it is depression... It's like being on top of the world to suddenly being told at the one thing you're good at, you're not cutting it anymore. Some players would argue some of those symptoms are worsened by their chemical dependences as players to keep themselves fine tuned. I don't think there's anything insincere about what he is doing which is why I hope he finds and gets help.

I had no idea Tamba was having trouble. Became a TH fan when the Chiefs first signed him and I heard his story. It's really hard to hear that he's possibly suffering from CTE or whatever now.

I hope the Chiefs are getting him the help he needs, whatever that might be. I haven't heard that there's a treatment for CTE symptoms that has had a high rate of success. I really hope there is one if that's what's going on with Tamba though.

I think CTE is what made Jim Tyrer flip out after he was done with football. CTE was not a known thing back then. Tamba should get checked out.
