Your Grade on the CHIEFS 2017 Draft

After 3 days, the 2017 NFL Draft is history.

What is your grade and opinion of how the Chiefs did?

Predictions?

I'd agree that he's probably closed to maxed-out, but I wouldn't say Wormley's just a guy. He's more like a less athletic version of Chris Jones. And we already have the more athletic version.

Although I don't think the pick would've made much sense for us at this point, he should still end up playing solid ball for the Ravens. The upside of the dude we drafted (because 'dude' is about as close to remembering his name as I'll probably ever get...) is potentially crazy. His floor is probably well below Wormley's, however. But I like taking risks.

As do I.

Look guys, this roster wasn't going to add 10 players. I'll be surprised if they add seven players.

As much bitching that goes on this forum, you'd think it's dedicated to the Cleveland Browns.

The Chiefs have gone 12-5 the past two seasons, 7-0 in the AFC West and won the division last year.

Everyone knows the issue isn't the defense or the offensive line or even the running backs: It's the QB.

Wormley and some of the other guys people wanted aren't going to put the Chiefs over the top.

My biggest concern with Kpassagnon right now is can he play in a 3 tech? Because in the sub packages, you don't have DL in a 5 tech very often...

He seems small to play inside but maybe his length and 10 more lbs would suffice.

The entire grade depends on Mahomes.

I'm very excited about him and his future with the team.

We live in good times men.

People with long arms don't lift as well on the bench press bc of weight distribution, not to mention a guy with 35.5 inch arms.

But here's the thing: the guy benched 23 reps and has 4% body fat. He's just like Chris Jones. He's got the strength and athleticism right now.

he's going to rotate early and get his shot. His size and athleticism alone is going to make flat footed G's struggle at times.

One thing about it, nothing makes blocking a guy harder than long arms.... provided they are used properly.

I'm really excited for the future specifically with this class. Hopefully a few of them can make some contributions in 2017, but more than anything it just looks like a class that could really hit the ground running in 2018 and beyond. We were one of very few teams who had the luxury of having few immediate holes, and I think we took advantage of it with some really high upside selections.

With this draft, we FINALLY shed our ultra-conservative draft attitude. That alone merits an A. Well done Mssrs Hunt, Dorsey and Reid!!!

He looks small because he's 6'7. We're talking about a 290 pound guy who is absolutely shredded. Think about that. A slender 290 pounder. They can probably get 15-20 lbs on his frame.

Then again, he's almost exactly the same size as Julius Peppers.

I gave it a B.

No major reaches, but they didn't really land tremendous value either. Love the Mahomes and Hunt picks, but not so much the receiver. Kudos for making Holthus probably want to cry about pronouncing names, but I think six picks overall was a little light.

The talent is good, but I think they could of used another pick or so to churn the bottom of that roster (looking at you, Jah Reid). Strong draft overall.

Love the Mahomes pick...
Hunt will probably be the only contributor next season.

The rest are projects.
