I think Brock pretty clearly wins. They gave someone a high round pick just to make him go away.

I agree that the Browns may have just gotten the better end of this deal. They aren't going anywhere this year of next, regardless of who they have at QB. They still have all their picks plus a 2 next year and have money to burn. They can get a QB this year and next and see who pans out. Meanwhile, the Texans fill the seats with Romo and have cash for next year.

There is a cap floor in the NFL. Estimates are the Browns had $104-106 million in cap space. It seems crazy but I doubt the Browns care. They still theoretically have $90 million in cap space and a ton of draft picks. They aren't going to spend $90 million this year in free agents. Now they have a QB and another draft pick for next year. They can still do anything they want. They really don't lose anything, they are still going to have to spend a decent amount of money just to hit the floor anyway. |

Adam Schefter reports teams are already reaching out to the Browns about Brock Osweiler.

"Oh, we are totally going to pay you the 16 million, but we don't even want you to come to camp and see what you got. We just wanted the draft pick. Thanks, bye." Whatever, I would take that kind of humiliation at that price. |

Make a smart move by taking on someone's shit QB with a short track record buried behind a HoFer who was given way too much money....then trade for someone else's QB with a short track record buried behind a HoFer in the hopes that he's not shit. What is with the national media sucking off Patriot backups? Wanna bet that Rapoport was in that same group of idiots that wanted tampering investigations because the Chiefs 'only' gave up a 2nd rounder for Cassel? Jesus - the Patriots aren't getting the Browns 1st and a 2nd for Jimmy Garapollo.

A future 2nd to unload essentially 1 year of his contract. Looks like they are the top contender in the Romo sweepstakes.
Browns have nothing to lose but cash. They're rebuilding in the draft and want to viable in 3 years |

Well, what this comes down to is the Broncos normally only draft Browns quality players since HorsesAssHorseFace took over.
