Well in fairness my good buddy, that is something folks like yourself claimed he would never do. Now that he did win a playoff game, you dismiss the opponent and move your goal post. That's weak. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Guess I didn't pay attention to those five Brian Hoyer interceptions he forced.

That could happen with a lot of teams though. Just look at Aaron Rodgers without Jordy Nelson. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a sucker's bet. I will bet you this team doesn't win 11+ games again, though. |

Well while he has a point it's not Alex's fault that Hoyer threw those picks. Can you hold that against him? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No Maclin, no Charles, no Ware? You're probably right. Alex Smith won't be able to single handedly win that game. Alex didn't make enough plays. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What you're seeing is a QB that finally has a favorable circumstance. Alex had shit it in SF until Harbaugh showed up, then had 1 decent WR in Crabtree.
The OL was poor last in 2014 and the first month (19 sacks in 4 games) of last season. In the 2nd half of 2013, the OL was solid and Alex looked really good. We'll see more of that but with 2 WR's and a TE that Alex can trust. Alex is a middle of the pack QB, but if you put most QB's in a situation with great surrounding talent, they'll play much better (insert capt obvious gif).
