If we can beat Denver...

I don't see why we couldn't run the table and win out.

@Chargers
Bills
@Raiders
Chargers
@Ravens
Browns
Raiders

I mean, after Denver our toughest games on the schedule are against the Raiders.

Because thats what Chiefs do.

They always pull out one miracle win and lose two games they have no business losing.

EDIT

Don't take this post to mean I think we beat the other teams on our schedule either.
Pretty much.

The cost of beating NE and Seattle last yr was losing to Oakland and Arizona.

That should be a link that you visit on a frequent basis.

Here's what possibly screws with KC right now, you have the Jets & Bills currently slotted to advance, and with Luck missing maybe a month... IND may very well hang around and let HOU contend for that division crown, giving them something to fight for and ultimately continue to be a thorn in the side of KC.
We have the tie breaker and HOU is a thorn in the side of no one.

Ok, but not in the same sense if you're talking about making it to the playoffs. You want to frame it in the 'seeding' view, sure at this point every game counts when you have a handful of teams with 0-2 losses.

Denver hasn't had a cakewalk through 8 games. They've defeated 3 teams with .500 or better records - Packers, Vikings and Raiders. Patriots have also only defeated 3 teams with .500 or better records - Bills, Jets, Steelers. And, they have a fairly light schedule in the final 8 with 5 on the road.

Bengals actually have 4 wins now against teams at .500 or better - Raiders, Seahawks, Bills, Steelers. And, their final 8 is pretty aggressive with 4 on the road.

Broncos ... 4 of the remaining 8 have winning records - Patriots, Bengals, Steelers and Raiders. Along with Chiefs, Bears and Chargers twice.

Road games are @ Chargers, @ Steelers and @ Bears ... 2-1 worst case.
Home games are Chiefs, Patriots, Raiders, Bengals and Chargers... 3-2 worst case, which gives them 12 wins.

So, sure... in regards to seeding and considering the putrid state of the AFC South, the Broncos are nearly a lock for that #3 seed at this point, all things considered.

What happens vs the Patriots and Bengals - both games in Denver is huge for seeding.

Has KC given me any reason to believe they are a play-off team....not really...but neither has any of the teams battling for a WC spot. The AFC is pretty horrible.

Everyone knows the Chiefs win one game a season they shouldn't....and Denver is the only remaining team to be considered an "upset".

I'm just glad @ 3-5 KC could be 1 game out after this week-end with 7 left.

I just hope the Broncos show up. I mean, all kc has to do is flip that switch and it's all over for the AFCW.

I don't know that KC has earned the distinction to claim that only 1 of the final 8 could be called an upset. Bills, Raiders twice, @ Ravens... those will be tough to win and I don't know that KC will be favored in any of them.

The chiefs still have the bills in the schedule, so essentially, they've gotta get to 10-6 to be a lock and 9-7 possibly gets them in.

I'm not holding my breath

Meh..Denver just got beat-down 17-0 against the 3-5 Colts in the first half. It took a ST play that hadn't happened in 30 years for them to even score. Donko-tard fans have the biggest sense of false entitlement west of NE....they arent that good.
