That's not a knock on country artists. There are a lot of extremely talented players and singers but the music itself hasn't really evolved like Rock.
Linda Ronstadt is VASTLY under appreciated and underrated.

Jesus OP, that was awful. The whole thing was just so tacky and commercial...the video itself was even worse.

As far as the argument on whether rock is dead.....is it dead or just under funded/produced compared to it's pop/country counterparts? Seems like there is more time and investment put into other genres.

I recently discovered this band however, and im liking it.

I've known about Dead Sara since 2011 because a friend of mine has a company that's been involved their career. They still haven't broken through yet but they're a talented band.

The best producers and engineers are working in different genres other than rock. Songwriters have mostly become relegated to Nashville or do the Indie/Folk thing for little to no money.

The best Composers/Producers of the day are either working in Film & TV or they've formed productions companies in which they seek and sign singers, compose and produce the music for that singer, then get them a record deal. From there, it's on to the next singer.

Rock took a turn for the worst because of the fans IMO. It became way too segmented and not mainstream friendly at all. Any rock group that has any success in the mainstream is a viewed as crap or a sellout (Nickelback etc.). No way to build a consistent following that would allow radio stations advertising opportunities. Of course rock demographics is heavily male dominated and sports talk/politic talk are the same demo but have much more affluent followers.

Went in expecting laughs, ended up pleasantly surprised.

Still not what I would call true country, but its a very nice crossbreeding of the two genres, and it has some great country tidbits in the gravy.

Gonna give Steve a solid B for his effort and willingness to branch out.
