Ofcourse he can be had but he won't be. He's staying. He's not even in his prime and is coming off 22 sack season. I'm not trading him at all.

Couldn't give less of a shit about Nick Athan, but trading Justin Houston for two first round picks is altogether not a horrible proposition. It's not preferable to signing him, but it is preferable to losing him.

It's also preferable to signing him to a bad contract. Take a look at Brees' contract, if you think one HOF can't be overpaid. That team is going to be a dumpster fire and there's nothing they can do about it.

Having said all that, mark me down as in the "a Houston deal is going to happen and no one will see it coming" camp.

No one is going to surrender 2 first round picks, and then have to give him a suh type contract.

It's been my experience that franchise players typically do not sign until sometime around/during training camp.
