For the hard drives u just have to assign them a letter manually. That shit happens to my 1 tb drive as well.

Something was screwy with those two drives; I couldn't see them in the BIOS, either. I got replacements from Amazon and they both worked flawlessly on the first try. Now looking for a decent sync program. I didn't end up setting them up as a RAID1. |

I ordered both at the same time - good drives, too; WD Blacks - so I'm guessing something was wrong with that batch. But yeah, totally up and running. Going through Gigabyte's CS to see if ID what's wrong with the on board video, but I don't much care, honestly. I wanted to run on a separate GPU anyway. |

I don't care for their new BIOS because it's difficult to find certain options so I always use Classic view. I have to disable C States (which is a power saving feature that will cause jitter and other audio issues) and EIST. Both were impossible to find without the Classic view. |

Gigabyte support on this on board video issue is utterly worthless.

I think after 90 days, you'll have to deal with Gigabyte directly, which will suck. |

My rig is up and running, and I didn't really care about on-board video only. I had every intention of running a separate GPU anyway. Two boards with the same issues, if I sent it back, I'd go with something else. I won't continue to beat my head with this board. Support keeps telling me to do things three responses after I told them I did that. The latest thing is they told me to disconnect all peripherals and try to post with nothing but memory attached. I've told them AT LEAST four times already that I've done that; that I've tried with AND without any peripherals - everything attached, as well as only memory and monitor attached - and I get the same behavior. |

amazon has a GTX 980TI for $614. Ships in 2-4 weeks but that is a good thing as there are rumors that amazon will have a 20th anniversary sale this month. So I ordered, and will cancel and reorder if it drops further.

AMD drivers are a mess right now. AMD's Fury X is less memory, but faster memory. Fury X is a power hog. The GTX 980ti is cheaper right now on amazon and has better support.
