What razor do you use? On your face, not your beanbag.

I've been using the Gillette Fusion for awhile, but I'm a cheap **** and want to find something better. I used the Schick Xtreme 3's a decade or so ago. So I picked some up and they chopped my face off. I don't know if I became a pussy or they got shittier. Anyway, I'm looking for some new options.

I've been using a Gillette Trac II with lubricating strip for 35 years and it works just fine for me.

I buy the generic replacement blades at Giant that cost $5 for 20 blades. I don't have heavy growth or crazy stubble after 1/2 hour. I only shave every other day and haven't used shaving cream in nearly 22 years.

I shave while I'm in the shower at the end and use the soap to lather up and stand close to the hot water so it acts like steam on my face. Smooth as a baby's ass!

I use a single blade for about 4 weeks but I only shave 3-4 times a week.

To prep I shower. Any shave soap works well.

This is exactly what you want but I've never used Gillette blades. I really prefer Merkur. Get you some soap and a badger brush and your face will be smooth baby.

I use gillette yellow mostly. They don't last as long as Gillette black but they are sharper at beginning. It's like Gillette black have such thick non-stick coating on them that it takes half a shave before the are at their best.

Blacks stay sharp a long time though.

at 20 - 35 cents a blade, they are so much better than disposal.

Feather's are really sharp too but the corners are unforgiving as hell. Face ends up like swiss cheese if you aren't careful.

I shave every 2 or 3 days and when I do, as I've said before, is shave with an electric razor for about a minute, take a shower, and shave with a razor when I'm done.

I like how Feathers perform with my beard, but they are a bit too aggressive for my sensitive skin. I've found Dreadnought blades to be fairly sharp and forgiving. I'm trying Astras right now. They are fine for a couple of shaves. After that not so much.

Gillette Mach 3, disposable. And it has to be disposable too. The regular Mach 3 cartridges tear my face up, but the disposable ones do not. It's not in my head, either.

Poor bastards.

I just use a disposable razor after I get out of the shower. No cream. No razor burn. I'm done in like 3 minutes. I put alcohol on the razor blades (not the lube strip!) so it dries out and stays sharp. Your hair does not make razor blades dull. It's oxidization that makes them dull.

I don't have coarse hair though. It grows thick, but the hairs themselves are really fine. So I can grow a massive beard if I want, and still not deal with the burden of rampant razor burn if I don't take 50 precautions.

I need to get some alcohol is use that's a great idea.

First I use electric razor it doesn't do a great job.
So I use a disposable also the Schick Xtremes. One will last be a couples weeks though.
