**** OFFICIAL WalterFootball.com Mock Draft Thread****
He updates his mock drafts usually a couple of times a week.....so I'll post the updated ones when they come out. So far he's at 3 rounds but the 4th round is supposed to come out today.
www.walterfootball.com 01/14/15 18. Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State Once again, zero touchdowns to wide receivers. The Chiefs obviously need help at wideout. Dwayne Bowe is just a No. 2 receiver masquerading as a top target, while none of the other receivers are very skilled, though Albert Wilson showed some promise at the end of the season. The Chiefs might be regretting passing on Kelvin Benjamin. 49. A.J. Cann, G, South Carolina The Chiefs had pass protection issues this past season - only six teams surrendered more sacks - and I doubt Andy Reid will pass on an offensive lineman in the first couple of rounds. 80. Derron Smith, S, Fresno State The Chiefs will need to think about bringing in a new safety, as Eric Berry may not be able to play football ever again, unfortunately. |

Updated yesterday.
18. La'el Collins, OT/G, LSU The Chiefs had pass protection issues this past season - only six teams surrendered more sacks - and I doubt Andy Reid will pass on an offensive lineman in the first couple of rounds. Reid loves drafting linemen, and he's getting a bit of steal at No. 18 with La'el Collins, who could go as high as the 12th spot to the Browns. 49. Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State Here's some much-needed help for the interior of Kansas City's defense, which took a beating last year in the wake of all the injuries. The inside linebacker position must be addressed. 80. Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina It's amazing that the Chiefs went the entire year without having any of their receivers score a single touchdown. Alex Smith was partly to blame, but the receiving corps was just abysmal. 98. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon The cornerback position isn't as big of a need for Kansas City as some make it out to be, but better depth is definitely must at the position. 118. Davis Tull, DE/OLB, UT-Chattanooga Justin Houston is a free agent next offseason. It's hard to imagine the Chiefs letting him get away, but it might be too expensive for Kansas City to keep both him and Tamba Hali. If one goes, depth will be needed. 172. B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State Here's a potential replacement for Rodney Hudson, who signed with the Raiders this offseason. 173. Brandon Bridge, QB, South Alabama The Chiefs could stand to add a young quarterback to groom behind Alex Smith. |

I think you have to address center earlier than that... Finney isn't that good and you want him to replace Hudson with a 5th round comp? I'd probably try ot get the best center available at 98 in this scenario.

We could have grabbed Shaq Mason in the 4th (who they worked out as OC). I'd be just fine with that.

Huh.
Interesting. Gibson is certainly a Dorsey type. Goodley's one of my favorite deep buries in this draft. Everett is a pretty solid fit, too. I'd like to think we could do better than Cobb and Hodges, but hey you can't win them all. Anybody from Canada makes sense now since LDT became a Chief. |

Updated. It's not his April Fools draft....but it ****ing should be. I hate almost every pick.
18. D.J. Humphries, OT/G, Florida The Chiefs had pass protection issues this past season - only six teams surrendered more sacks - and I doubt Andy Reid will pass on an offensive lineman in the first couple of rounds. Reid loves drafting linemen, and he's getting a pre-draft riser in D.J. Humphries, who is now projected to be taken in this area. 49. Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn The Chiefs signed Jeremy Maclin in free agency, but they could still stand to draft a receiver (or two) early on in the 2015 NFL Draft, considering how weak they are at the position. 80. Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina It's amazing that the Chiefs went the entire year without having any of their receivers score a single touchdown. Alex Smith was partly to blame, but the receiving corps was just abysmal. As mentioned earlier, Kansas City could double up on the receiver position. 98. Charles Gaines, CB, Louisville The cornerback position isn't as big of a need for Kansas City as some make it out to be, but better depth is definitely must at the position. |

**** that draft......I'm going with this one.
18. Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, Nebraska 49. Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State 80. Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina 98. John Miller, G, Louisville 118. Derron Smith, S, Fresno State 172. Chris Conley, WR, Georgia 173. Rob Havenstein, OT, Wisconsin |

I'm sorry, but taking a WR with 33 receptions last year at 18 is foolish.

Production should always be considered, which is why no respected football websites have him listed as a 1st rounder, let alone in the top 20. Pass all day long at Smith in the first.
