NFL considers paying for stadium in Los Angeles
The other interesting tidbit is they may start selling PSL's for Super Bowls.

I am actually very surprised. The NFL needs to bring the Super Bowl back to SoCal. Right now there isn't a stadium there they would want to host it in.
Qualcomm is a dump. The Rose Bowl and Coliseum don't have the luxury boxes the NFL wants and the Coliseum is in a really bad area. Right now the SB can be hosted in" Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa, and Jacksonville. No one wants to go to Jacksonville. Perhaps in Miami again once the renovations to Joe Robbie are done. Slim pickings as far as warm weather destinations go. |

This from a league that wants their Super Bowl halftime acts to pay them for the privilege to play.
I'm floored. |

That is because Kroenke is building a stadium in LA. There is no need for the NFL to build one now.

Very little risk of snow and ice, and even with shit weather San Francisco is somewhat of a draw for monied football fans to patronize in the downslope of winter.

Years and years of planning, $50 million down the drain and no more Antonio Villaragosa to champion the stadium. It's a bummer, but no surprise.
What would be ironic is if San Diego funded a new stadium, the Raiders paired up with the 49ers and the Rams approved the new riverfront St. Louis stadium. LA wouldn't get a team but continue to be a threat. Honestly, I think that's what the NFL truly wants from Los Angeles. |
