She has made more than me the last year. It was her idea. I am also starting a new business and heading back to KC next week to start it. She knows nothing about it. She dropped the bomb before I said anything to her about it. We only share a saving account. We split the bills and I am cutting off everything after this month's payment.

Not trying to add flame to the fire but it sounds like she kicked you to the curb? Just say'n, when I point a finger, I need to take a step back and do a little reflection.

Sorry, I'm a die hard, I would try and save the marriage. They loved each other at one point. No one ****ed around from what I can tell, both could do better...

"Saving a marriage" is an extremely bad idea.

Someone will ultimately be unhappy, leading to an eventual divorce that most likely will be worse than than the initial onset idea of divorcing. Most people don't want a divorce because they're not thinking straight: They're more than willing to go through with it because they are thinking straight.

Sweet talk and persuasion only goes so far.

Cut the tie and move on.

It's expensive and hellish on the kids if you have them. The grass ain't greener my friend. Creates all kinds of awkward situations down the line with your kids if you are in that situation for sure.

watch the documentary "Divorce Corp" on Netflix.

it's amazing, and quite depressing. the longer lawyers can keep you both fighting over silly shit, the more money they rake in.

Sounds like it should be fairly easy to make a reasonable split. I had a buddy that just caved to whatever she wanted. I asked him WTF? You had some equity here and here and whatever. He told me, "don't care. Didn't want to fight. It wasn't a lot but it was worth every penny. I'd do it again today."

FWIW.
