From the "world leader in sports":
http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/cup...new-york-state "I didn't see (the other driver) anymore," he said. "It just seemed like he was suddenly gone." Messerly said the crash appeared to be the result of "a number of bad decisions" and not "any intent on Tony Stewart's part." "Auto racing is a dangerous sport," he said. "I think it was just an unfortunate set of circumstances that created a tragic situation." No mention of who was hit... |

If he hadn't accelerated I'd be more inclined to agree with you.

This is an interesting theory. Maybe the guy was already dead. He was just looking for some brain meal. You can't fault a guy for killing a zombie. Tony Stewart should be applauded.

Sure he did. He was directly in front of his car not a second before getting hit. It looks like he was in the process of jumping out of the way when Tony hit the gas and hit him.

At the very least, his career has got to be done after this.

That's terrible. 17 year old kid...
I could tell it wasn't looking good by the fact that he was longer and thinner after being hit and the crew that arrived went bat shit crazy when they took a look. Hopefully for him, it was instant. RIP |

Yea....what the **** is wrong with that dude walking to the middle of the track? He was already having to avoid other cars to get there. Tony Stewart definitely revved his engine to scare the kid and accidentally killed him, but the dude never should have been there in the first place (caution flag or not). Darwin's law played at least a small role in what happened tonight.

Well as far as we know only one resulted in the death of another person, so I'd go with that one.

I know of at least two Cardinal fans on suicide watch after this evening. I'll get back to you next week.
