Someone told me Fallout is like Skyrim but in a post apocalyptic world. That didn't sound right to me, though. Is it true? I've never played any of the Fallout games...

Same maker, same HUGE open world design. Yeah, Fallout is kinda like Skyrim with guns. And it's ****ing awesome.

Go buy Fallout 3. It'll be like $8. Get a feel for it before you spend $60 on the new one.

There's a beauty you get with Skyrim that you won't get with Fallout though so don't set yourself up too much for it to be the same. I love both games and there are similarities but they are still very different games, especially in the combat system.

This. Both stand alone very well, though. Can't wait for this.

Same here. Bethesda has reputation of quality upon release. I have no reservations about getting this at midnight.

That's pretty accurate. Fallout is incredible. I ignored it until Fallout 3, when folks on here convinced me to try it. I consumed all 3 like a crack addict.

Sort of. They have a reputation for putting out buggy software on release. They don't put out game breaking buggy software though like say Ubisoft or EA.

I talked Fire Me Boy into getting the digital download for Xbox One. That way he can stay home and play it come midnight if he wants to.
