From a guy who wasn't able to watch today... what was good/bad?

Summarize the game for me in only the way Chiefs Planet can. I don't want to read what the paid homer BJ Kissel or anyone on Arrowhead Pride has to say.

Bray wasn't as bad as people made him out to be. His line sucked but his receivers were worse. Dropped two big passes for big yards.

He looked awkward throwing a swing pass though.

I am rewatching the game now, and will be making some observations as I go.

First, the right side of the line with Swartz and LDT were dominating in both run blocking and pass pro, and on Ware's second carry behind those two, if Kelsey could have gotten his man blocked, Ware would have busted for a huge gain.

LDT looks like he has again made huge strides.

Parker Ehinger has looked solid, but he did whiff on his block that forced Smith into a scramble and his only incompletion, which was a good, and Smart play by Smith.

On the third down pass, the line gave Smith time in the pocket, and he did have Maclin open early, but he would have been short of the sticks,

Smith, IMO, showed good pocket awareness and began to move at just the right time.

Wilson did come open in the EZ as Smith is running to his left, but there is no way he should ever attempt to make that pass.
That's not even a pass Rodgers should be attempting to throw.

And, FTR, Maclin's left foot was touching the turf as he caught the pass, so the left foot OOBs was his third foot touching, so it was a legitimate completion.

Another couple quick notes.

On Ware's third carry, a 3rd and short that he converts for a first down, LDT pancakes his man.

On the TD, the OL gets a great push, and Zach Fulton was lined up at TE next to Fisher.

On defense, the DL is just getting pushed off the line, and Steve Nelson is giving all kinds of cushion.

Marcus Cooper should be moved to safety full time.

Chris Jones makes an impact from the very first snap after he subs in.

Worth a view.
Spoiler: brief appearance by Alex Smith's hot wife.

That was awesome

After two possessions, this OL looks as good as it has in years.

Seahawk DBs were giving Tyreek Hill ten yards of cushion.

Demetrius Harris looks to be a better route runner than in the past, but he did have the drop on a bullet from Foles.

Hopefully this oline group stays healthy .... Could be the strength of the team ...Can't believe I'm saying that...

Everyone is expressing concern about Dee Ford, with good reason.
We need him to show up, and hasn't in this game.

But I also want to know where the hell is Ramik Wilson.
That guy wearing #53 out there disappears after the ball is snapped.

Frank Zombo is still a solid backup.

I'm out of town and DVRed the game but it sounds like Chris Jones had a big impact... Maybe putting him next to Dee would more sack options....

Looks like everyone got out of this game with no injuries, which you can really ask for at this point as well.

Wilson does not look good. Missing tackles, stutter stepping, getting flushed out of the run. I'm not sure if that's on the d-line or he's completely lost.

The guys that came in after him looked a little better. I'd like to see March or Alexander run with the 1st instead and see how they fare.

Nick Foles is nice addition to back up Smith, but please, don't ever run a read option with him ever again.

Ross Travis is a lumberjack with good hands, but Demetrius Harris is such a good blocker, he needs t be the second TE in two TE sets.

There are a couple of O-Linemen that will get cut who might end up as starters for another team.

Given where this line was just two years ago, that is an amazing thing to think about.

I thought the same too. With the pressure that was closing in on him there's no way he could have turned his body and set his feet. Plus at the point he and Maclin were on the same page when he saw Maclin change his route and moved north leaving his defender behind him
