I agree. From an artistic standpoint, they are shit. But, if you make a BILLION $ there is too much money to be made. They will keep making these movies until 2 movies in a row flop.

Saw it Saturday with some friends. I usually wait for the DVD on F&F but my friend had free tix. I didn't feel it was any more cheesy or ridiculous than some of the previous movies. I mean, think about it. F&F 5 had them pulling a bank vault through city streets hooked up cars.

They are cheesy and full of ridiculous, physics be damned, stunts that nobody truly gets hurt doing. You just have to turn off your brain and enjoy it for what it is......entertainment.

I was about ready to come on here and roast the shit out of this movie.. But then that ending. If I were made of softer stuff it just might have gotten a tear out of a playa.

It was fun I guess. But I just can't turn my mind off enough for these kind of movies. The dialogue was cringeworthy and the action scenes for the most part were ridiculous as ****. I can't really give a **** about the characters if you pretty much make them invisible for the whole movie. When no one dies or gets hurt in any of the ridiculous shit in a movie, all the suspense is taken away.

The ending was kind of cool though. I'll give it that. Other than that, not too dissimilar from a Michael Bay movie.

And one more thing -

I know these movies have a loyal following base, but let's not kid ourselves....Paul Walker himself made this movie a metric ****ton of money. We'll never know what it would have been if he hadn't passed, but because of it, people flocked to see him in his last performance.

This. It would have been a hit still, but no where near 1.4 billion dollars if Walker hadn't passed.
