Any good recipes for BGE?
This thread has me salivating. I admit I have no knowledge whether fat cap should be up or down...I only know laces should be out.
That said, I recently received a large BGE as a gift and so far I have butchered everything I put on it. Much harder to regulate than my regular BBQ. Anyone have any recipes/recommendations for cooking a brisket on the BGE? Thanks in advance. |

Welcome to BBQ not grilling, you might want to find a forum for BGE's but there are lots of grilling and smoking threads here to ask questions in. You might want to address this stuff before doing so
Dial the heat down, buy a book or hit the library. Maybe start a new post when you're able to. BGE are easy, did you read the booklet? You have to do chicken, lots of chicken thighs. Buy a meat probe, wireless if you can spare the $$$$ Maybe tell us what you cooked, how you prepped the protein but include how you build and regulated the fire, as that is what you need to cook chicken thighs for. to learn how to regulate the heat... Is it a nice one? Post your address and I'll have the piano movers pick it up say 3AM?

Even if you burn thighs you can add them to chili, unless to tried to make precious stones from them.

funny shit there.
Actually I am on a KCBS team (Smithwick sponsored ) and we do the KCBS WCBQ contest. I'm just a grunt but I have BBQ connections I never had because of it. Eggs can be hard until they are not. My son in law is a ****ing genius, full academic ride and a full music scholarship. They paid him $$$ to go to school. Light a fire? Watch as he ran for a bucket of water.. He is doing small contests now and actually won one last year. He is stupid when it comes to cars too, he can't wait for autonomous vehicles.

Traveling judges have one of the best jobs there are, once they were begging for them, now you pay out the ass to be one.

He has been a long time. Has been retired now for about 10 years and this is like a job. Trust me he is well known in the society.
