On the other hand I could have used one when I went to the Eric Church concert last weekend. Some narcissistic snatch was two rows in front of us and I shit you not, she took AT LEAST 100 pictures of herself. I have never seen anything like it. Every time the twat would take one BLAST the flash would go. I told my wife we should have brought the sunglasses to the concert. Every time it looked like I was in the background of one of her shots I would flip the camera the bird. If I would of had a selfie stick I could have used it to club her upside her head.

Disney said Friday that it is banning them from its theme parks.

"We strive to provide a great experience for the entire family and unfortunately selfie sticks have become a growing safety concern for both our guests and cast," said Disney spokeswoman Kim Prunty.

The ban kicks in Tuesday at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California, along with other Disney-run theme parks in the U.S. The ban goes into effect at Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland on July 1.

This is an expansion of Disney's (DIS) ban on taking selfie sticks on its rides, like the Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Space Mountain. Even with a ban in place, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad had to be stopped numerous times because of visitors hazardously whipping out the three-foot sticks while riding the rails.

Once the full ban takes effect, visitors can check their selfie sticks at the main gate, but signs in the parking lots will encourage them to leave the sticks in their cars.

Selfie sticks are already banned at the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Kentucky Derby, English Premier League soccer stadiums, London's National Gallery, the Coachella music festival and the Palace of Versailles, among other places.

Thank goodness - I can't begin to describe how atrocious they were all throughout the parks.
