Tony Romo rumor

Gotta ask what do you guys think? There are strong rumors we are interested. I would love it if we got AJ MCCaron from Bengals.

What do you guys think

What are the responses going to be when we don't even pursue Romo, don't cut Smith, don't draft a QB until the mid late rounds???

The Chiefs do not want to do any of that.

why can't I compare Romo to Rodgers?

Aaron has a better arm and is probably the most physically gifted QB in the history of the league

but the two play QB in almost the exact same fashion ... magnificent in the pocket and magnificent in extending plays and finding open guys ... both hold the ball too long at times and both take too many unnecessary sacks because of that

Romo is a Rodgers light ... and older.

Regardless, huge upgrade over Smith, without doubt.

So glad Hootie is back so we can read about his Romo crusade all offseason. So far he's compared Romo to Rodgers, Montana, Manning, and Big Ben. He's ****ing delusional.

Other than throwing deep they are not similar at all to me. Romo can't make half the throws that Rodgers can make especially on the move.

Most gifted versus average gifted is a big difference as well.

Nice context, guy.

Romo plays the QB position like Aaron Rodgers. Same style.
Romo being a free agent/trade target is comparable to Manning in 2013.
Romo to the Chiefs would be very similar to Montana coming to the Chiefs back in '93 (2 straight years of almost no game action due to injury - being replaced by a younger QB)
Romo has been less injury prone, outside of the past 1.5 years, than Ben Roethlisberger over the course of their careers.

But yeah, Mr. Context Hero, nice job breaking that 1 down. I see you haven't gotten any brighter over the years.

Please watch a few minutes of both of those and tell me how you don't see striking similarities in the way they play the position.

All of those QBs have won Super Bowls. Romo has won jack shit.

Is Romo over 16 games better than Alex? Yes, but there is about a 10% chance he plays the entire season. Alex for 16 games > than Romo for 8 games.

Draft a QB and let him sit behind Alex this season. Alex knows Reid's offense and would be a good mentor for a rookie QB.
