What an incredibly pointless argument.

Now if a college football playoff game beats a viewership of 35,000,000+ which was set by Michigan State vs Indiana State then I'm all ears.

I think the number will be good for the NCG but nothing like Texas-USC.
That's because people get tired of watching SEC teams dominate every year.

Since Mizzou and aTm split, the Big 12 has gone 9-13 in bowls. Only Texas Tech and Oklahoma State have winning records.

Mizzou and aTm are a combined 5-0...with 3 of those wins coming against the Big 12.

I think there was a year or two when the SEC was the best conference. For sure they had the best team a few times as well but as was proven last Thursday when you take bias out of the process the SEC is left with nothing.

Since Mizzou and aTm joined the SEC the level of play has declined with an absolute crash landing this year by the top two programs.

Only 20 bowl wins in those three years...such a crash. (17 bowl wins in the three years prior)

Bowl games are about as valuable as winning a Maui Invitational or a "Battle For Atlantis".

Or at least that's what the attendance/ratings tell you.

I can think of two off the top of my head - 1987 Fiesta Bowl and 2006 Rose Bowl.

NCAA Tourney averaged 9.8m viewers prior to the Fibal Four. PRIOR. Then it tacked on another 35M for two more sessions.

Far more people watch the NCAA Tourney than bowl games. It's not even remotely close, and that's why the ad $ is so disparate.

That's false, but supposing you finally stumbled onto a fact.....so what? People still watch it, and it still crushes the bowl system in revenue.
