Just saw an image of a toy called 'knightmare batman' with this gear on...def a dream sequence. My thoughts are this is some post apocalypse ordeal or something where Supes in charge.

Dude, really? Affleck is an incredible actor, but more often than not disappoints when it's directed by someone other than himself. Notable exceptions: Gone Girl (David Fincher); Hollywoodland (Allen Coulter); Dogma (Kevin Smith); Shakespeare in Love (John Madden); and Good Will Hunting (Gus Van Sant).
And Snyder, please. Every movie he's done has been rife with problems. Some have been entertaining, while others have been outright disasters. And every one has definitely been style over substance. |

I don't hate Snyder. I've enjoyed some of his work. But every movie he's done has some big problems, and the guy clearly cares more about how a movie looks than the story behind it. |

It could be Bizarro. It would explain shots where Superman looks pissed. Like when he's bowing in front of Lex, when he's shooting eye beams while he's flying, it would explain Batman mistaking Superman for a monster which would actually make sense. Batman's armor battle with Superman is probably Superman because Superman doesn't look pissed. So Superman probably takes a beating to prove to Batman it wasn't him, then in the final battle Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman try to take down Bizzaro together.
In Superman 4 Lex strapped a Lunchables to a rocket and made a version of Superman so I'm sure this go around dealing with the body of Zod and genetics makes alot more sense than that jargon. I think the Superman clone is both good and bad. The good is it explains Batman's anger as mistaken identity, but its annoying because it seems like an easy villain cop out so I would expect the villain in this movie to be lackluster. |

I think most would prefer this scenario instead of Doomsday off the bat.

It's either Bizarro, a dream sequence, or Supes under some sort of weird Kryptonite control by Luthor.

Plus, actors make decisions based on their agent's suggestions because of the income and not so much because of the script. For every successful actor working today, there are at least 2-3 really crappy films on their resume, if not dozens. Affleck is hardly unique in that regard. |

This movie looks so horrific.
Ben Affleck is a disappointing enough cast member, but for Christ sakes...Jesse Eisenberg is a complete disaster. He's horrible, the movie looks horrible and as mentioned already, the writing will not be very good. This movie will remind everyone of Christopher Nolan's true talent. This will do nothing but make people long for Nolan's trilogy. |

I'm going with some kind of hallucination, though. Although we have seen the shot of superman bowing to luthor, so who knows. |

It could be both a nightmare of a clone. If it is a nightmare, I wish it wasn't in this movie, we don't need screen time wasted with a nightmare scene of how Batman is afraid of a Supes clone. You have way too many characters and plot lines to get through Snyder, get your shit together and don't waste time on a nightmare sequence that we can all safely assume provides nothing to the plot! Save that time for badass action at least!
