Game of Thrones *Spoiler* Thread
There's been some recent confusion with the old spoiler thread, so I'm kicking off a new one for tonight's premiere. This is going to be the one for folks who've read all the books. So anything anybody might want to talk about is in bounds. Suffice to say, if you haven't read the books, you'll probably want to stay out of here until you do...
I'll bump the old spoiler-free thread shortly in case anybody's interested. For future reference the link to that one is here |

Would they really cut it off on TV? That's harsh and might turn a lot of viewers off.....
can't say that with a straight face. GoT can do no wrong. |

I'm sure they won't do it on-camera, but as far as "turning a lot of viewers" off goes, the 9th episode will take care of that on its own. I can't wait to see the internet explode (although people figuring it out or reading spoilers should maybe help, unlike Ned's beheading in season 1, which seemed out of left field to a lot of people who'd never read the books.).

Also in terms of the OP sequence. They need to start thinking about showing The Gift in depth when they go from Winterfell to the Wall. Because that's where Jon's arc is going to be for a bit as well as Bran's and the Reeds'. And if they don't hurry up and show the D cup breasted Val I'm going to punt puppies. |

Me too. Robb send him away despite Cat warning him not to do so.

From the text: "He's a direwolf, not a dog," said Robb, "and dangerous to men he does not trust. Ser Raynald, stay with him. I won't take him into the Lord Walder's hall like this." Deftly done, Catelyn decided. Robb keeps the Westerling out of Lord Walder's sight as well.
So she certainly did not go out of her way to tell him you must keep him with you. And before that exchange Robb kept calling Grey Wind to him. If Grey Wind wasn't acting so disobedient then he certainly would have taken him in there with him. She approved of what he did. I'm tired of people trying to make her out to be anything but a punk. Needless to say they'll probably make it so in the show and save Catelyn's character although she still is the worst character in the book. |

Um...
So Jeyne (or her counterpart in the show) is pregnant? Kind of huge. Like, maybe spoils the books huge. |

I thought we all knew she was pregnant. Or at least very heavily suspected.

We did not know, at least it was never spelled out in the books. The reason there's so much speculation about whether our not she is pregnant is because of the effect it would have regarding Robb's letter about Jon.

I'm not that deep into Book 5 yet, but in the books she was being given moon tea (a birth control of some type) by her mother, who was telling her that she was giving her fertility drugs. At this point in the books the reader is left feeling confident that Jeyne is not pregnant.
