Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

To save our two second round picks, draft Geno at 2.1. Yes I understand we didn't know ahead of time, but that does not change the fact that it was a viable option.

Remember, the previous year, Smith could have been had for a pittance of a salary and a 4th round pick, and not a single team jumped on it.

I would rather have went into the season with any other QB and two 2nds.

You think we'd even come close to contention with Geno as our QB? Like DJ already said, we already have the best of both worlds. We have a QB we can contend with right now and gives us a chance to win with Charles, DJ, Bowe, and Hali, and we have a QB we can groom for the future.

I'll take the win now, and win later approach, because with Geno at QB, we'd just be wasting Charles', DJ's, etc time.

I would rather TRY.

Remember, Geno hasn't thrown a ball in the NFL, so lets not pretend his career is over just yet.

As for a QB that can win now, I don't think he can. He cant get the ball down the field. He sucked MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR ass until the last 2 seasons, in which his team won in spite of his utterly pedestrian performances.

And I am not convinced Tyler Bray can do shit, though I am hopeful for that.

This offense won't ask him to throw deep that often. It's based on short and intermediate routes that may eventually open up a deep pass or two. Smith is good at short and intermediate passes.

Me neither. I'm not convinced Geno can do shit either. But again, like DJ said, Bray has the higher ceiling and that's good enough for me right now.

But most of all, I'd rather win, and we have a better chance at winning now with Alex than with Geno.

You know what is ironic. When Kaepernick was first drafted, and then 49ers fans found out that they were bringing back Alex Smith, there was this thought process that it was a good thing. Alex Smith could hold down the fort until Kaepernick was ready. Kaepernick was no where near ready to play, he had accuracy issues, people hated his delivery he played in a small conference. And in his first preseason, he looked AWFUL.

I could see Bray taking that very same road.

You're not a Chiefs fan.

You didn't live through 1995 and 1997 and 2003.

You're just a bandwagon ****tard following your pathetic binky over here for a few seasons until we punt him for replicating those seasons.

And if you were a Chiefs fan, you'd understand why some of us hate the sonofabitch.

Again. Why even bother trying to explain it, if you are going to have your own opinion about it? Am I a Chiefs fan first? Obviously not. Im a browns fan, who genuinely likes Alex Smith, and the Chiefs.

So much so that I have stopped following my child hood team because I don't really care for the fans of that team, and am embarrassed to of been a fan.

But that isn't understandable to some people, and I get that.

First of all. It seems like you "like the Chiefs" b/c they got Alex Smith.

Second, you don't change teams asshole.
