The Best Show on Television... Entourage
This show fuggin Cracks me up. Maybe Im just sheltered because I dont watch TV much, but I started watching this show midway through season one, and freaking love it. Its about this young movie star and his brother, and two friends from New York, and his rise to stardom... Tonights show was at the Sundance Festival, where Vince's latest movie Queens Boulevard was a huge success... plus Turtle and Drama double-teamed this Peace Corps Chick and accidently "crossed swords". heh. funny shit. [Sorry Gochiefs, but they didnt show that part] Freaking Ari Gold, played by Jeremy Piven is fuggin unreal in this show. He makes it. Here is some cool extra footage. Anyway, if you have HBO on Demand, check it out... its great TV. http://www.hbo.com/entourage/ Last edited by teedubya; 06-26-2009 at 05:01 PM.. |

For the record, I thought the finale was phenomenal.
They didn't try to wrap up all the story lines in 30 minutes and instead focused on the bigger picture of everyone but Vince growing up and moving on. It should make for a great final season. |

It's a shortened season too, right? That should keep things moving better. Entourage always flows better on DVD, where you get much less of a "WTF was that? Nothing happened..." feeling.

Yeah supposedly only 6 episodes next summer and then maybe a film, if Doug Ellin can ever figure out how to end the show

Personally, I think it would fit better on another show. This isn't light hearted any more, which was the appeal to begin with. |

That was a great finale.
I'd rank the seasons 3, 2, 1, 7, 4, 5, 6 |

Turtle's onto his business, Johnny's got a TV show specifically for him, Eric's moved on and is in a battle to assume control of the agency owned by his fiance's godfathter, and even Billy Walsh is clean, productive and creative. All of these guys from Season One, except Vince, have all matured and moved well beyond their childhood symbiotic relationship. They're still friends, but they don't rely on each other for everything. Without these guys, Vince is a mess. He's not an adult capable of making adult decisions on his own. He's living in a fantasy world. And Ari is paying dearly for his childish behavior as well. He lost out on the NFL and may have lost his wife in the process. I think the final six episodes have the potential to be very, very good. But, I still think a movie would be years off, if ever. I just can't see many people flocking to see these people in 90 minute film. |

Oh and for those of you guys that don't know, Avion Tequila is real:
http://www.bevmo.com/Shop/ProductDet...Required=false It's a Tequila company started by one of Doug Ellin's childhood friends, the same guy who also owns Marquis Jets (which were seen in last year's finale). Ken Austin (played by an actor) is his real business manager. I guess they needed a new business venture for Turtle. Ellin's buddy was just starting Avion, and as a favor, wrote the tequila into the storyline. Nice free advertising. |
