Alex Smith is a damn good QB

Just look at some of the numbers around the league today. We're lucky to have him as our QB.

Thats a fair point, circumstance and team can be a huge, overwhelming factor for young QB's, but dont crown Mark just yet, Kelly is shooting down the Foles trade rumors left and right.

But as far as Geno, Mornihweg was Reids guy for years... its hard to believe that he's a total tard when it comes to developing young QB's.

Unlike Sanchez, Geno wasn't "smash material" coming out. Development project with high ceiling? Yes. Being a starter for the Jets at that developmental level is a kiss of death. He might as well go hang out with Jamarcus and LJ at the club.

He has to. If Sanchez sucks, he has to save face. Of course super save a ho chiefs country will be in here post haste to defend that trash bag matt barkley......but I digress, no need to trash Foles until Sanchez proves himself.

I have a confession

I REALLY wanted matt barkley after watching him play a couple games and was secretly hoping we would snag him later on like maybe 2nd or 3rd round ...since his stock had fallen.

I forget what happened around his combine that made me not really dig him as much..bad combine? Did he not show up and ...and do a workout later on? I think I remember his throws were not snappy / lack of velocity..and thats something I really dont want to risk...I want a guy with a huge arm if we draft someone.

but I know nothing about college ball...I just watched a couple of his games and they were games he played well in.

I barely ever take any side with regards to college players ..... but I kinda liked the guy from what I saw in actual games.

Barkley, wow... just goes to show what a total crapshoot the draft is, scout after scout had guys like him and Wilson very highly rated.

Yet neither of those names has even been hinted at by anyone at all in two years... makes me sooo glad to have Reid around to break these kids down.

Remember when Crabtree was awesome-sauce?
It was sucky Alice Smith holding him back.

Today...

He just isn't that good

he sucks, I've given up on Crabtree, I'm sorry.

dude hasn't been what he was drafted to be
Quote:
I whole heartedly agree with this.
Quote:
Hes not a terrible WR overall. IMHO its more that we are overpaying him for what he does bring to the table.

Bust
Quote:
he's not very good. i mean seriously. from an objective point of view he's slightly above average.
Quote:
Crabs is a above average #2-
Quote:
Like another poster said he's a pretty decent #2... he's in NO way a #1 WR in this league.
Quote:
I have yet to see a "wow" moment from Crabtree.
Quote:
only wow moments I see are bad wow moments with this guy
Quote:
Crabtree isn't half the WR stevie Johnson is, or even Anquan Boldin at this point. I would rather throw to Lloyd at this point.

Ya know it's a really sad day when I have to agree with Richard Sherman.

Yup. Alex holds WRs back.

Fact of the matter is, if you can get open, Alex will throw you the ball.

However, people blaming everything on Crabtree are stupid. There are numerous plays where Kaepernick just throws extremely off-target bullets to him and they end up looking like drops by him. Crabtree has had several moments where he would have a sure TD only to have Kaepernick bullet the pass a few feet too far ahead or a yard behind him.

the posts viper just posted just show how ignorant and neglectful the average fan can be. Crabtree doesn't perform with Smith, smith sucks, crabtree doesn't perform with kaep, crabtree sucks lol.. Those are prolly just kaep ballwashers posting.. And they can keep ballwashing him because that QB is a one show gimmick and will never live up to any of the hype. Guarenteed if harbaugh leaves the 49ers next season, Kaep washes up in 2 years max and is gone. book it
