lol, you know he's not going to have it more then an episode or 2. Its Chuck not Morgan. They will let morgan have it to fumble round. It was for comedic value, nothing more nothing less. The person that put them glasses there Was Chucks dad. Its painfully obvious.
Well, i was wrong, i just read an article with the co creator of Chuck, and Morgan is indeed the new intersect unless he's lying. See what happens, season 5 is still a ways away. http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/whats-al...rtems-season-4 Last edited by kcxiv; 05-17-2011 at 12:20 AM.. |

I loved it. Having them be a private civilian team, owning the buy more, morgan as an intersect (I say 'an' because the word the douche used when he put the glasses on chuck was "suppress" the intercept) opens up all kinds of interesting possibilities. It's going to be like watching a fresh show next fall.
And the show has never really been about the intersect. It's been about chuck and his progression from nerd to spy and now to spy boss. Morgan as the intersect is brilliant, I think. And not just as comedy. He's sort of going through chuck's progression in reverse, being a part of the team first, learning from casey before gaining the benefit of the intersect. |

Sorry, but that was awful.
Morgan was fine as a supporting character, having him as the intersect is too much. |

mixed feelings about it since i never liked the Volkoff's daughter story line...not the best finale by any stretch
next year will be cool if they get back to the buy more, return to the pop culture centered work...I'd much prefer they go out with the Rush/Tom Sawyer/Missle Command stuff than yet another convoluted Bad Guy Organization stuff..but they may be locked in at this point in the series..

Well, its the last season, and its only 13 episodes. We all just have to wait and see. The writers have done a damned fine job for 4 seasons and had to make a few series finale's.
Usually shows loose their luster at about season 5ish or so anyways. |

hmm. Chuck did a 1.5 lastnight and 4.43 million viewers, Thats terrible, but its up. ONe thing that i dont get is, when it was doing 1.9 and 2.0 the vewers were roughly the same. That demo number gets tricky and i think that whole rating system is terrible, but seriously, how was any show supposed to survive dancing with the stars who draw's 20 million viewers and House which draw's 10 million viewers.

Not sure what to think about this. I absolutely love the show, but can't see a whole season with Morgan as the intersect, and Chuck without it. Then again, I was worried about Chuck the "super spy" with intersect v2, and I really enjoyed how that played out. Definitely looking forward to seeing what they come up with next year - I trust the writers at this point, Vivian Volkoff notwithstanding...
Given that they've said season 5 will be the last, I assume it's still possible to have the number of episodes extended next year? |

The "Morgan" thing is a little weird, but according to the interview, the idea is to take the show back to its roots with Morgan in the "really important but kind of a buffoon" role and Chuck in the "real spy taking care of the really important buffoon" role.
If they can make it work, it could be refreshing. I for one have really hated how "good" Chuck has become. Part of the show's appeal was Chuck not really knowing what he's doing, but making it through it anyway. If they can bring that magic back, it could be a fine end to the series. (But I'll admit I'm skeptical that it will work.) |

I'll watch next season, but I was severely disappointed with the finale. I also don't like that Casey seemed to be pushed into the background the past season and a half. |

How was Casey pushed into the background? alot of the season was about hiim morgan and his daughter. Also Him and his duaghters wife? He had major storylines. He was also shot.
As everyone else, Casey had to grow as the show went on. He regained some human compassion something he lacked big time in season 1 and season 2 even. |

Yeah, Casey was maybe more prominent this season than ever before. There was the whole storyline where he was working with a new team in addition to all the other stuff you mentioned.

I realize that as Chuck became better, there would be less reliance on Casey. It seemed to become the Chuck and Sarah show with Casey doing his thing over there. He was no longer a vital part of the team. |
