Strange enough...it was your posts on the subject that caused me to look at things a bit differently. Once I started to pay attention to things, it became a real eye opener. It's a single multi billion dollar entity with no end in site to the greed. The amount of money bet on these games is too much to not have an influence over results. Absolutely.

With that much money, only a fool would think otherwise.

Then you read about the origins and history of the league...and it all ties in together. These aren't coincidences.

Then you've got players who, damn near say the league is rigged while insinuating as much (or Bubba Smith, who outright claimed that SB III was rigged) and it all ties in. Vegas, the lines, mob ties, TV...it's manipulated so many ways, for many interests, who all have a hand in the pie.

ok, I dont exactly get this? I understand 85% betting on one side.. I understand what the team favored is.. I understand -3 and -2.5.

I dont understand the significance of the half point -minus- move. How is that strange?

Linesmakers of books usually try to balance the action if one side is bet heavily. When you see that 85% of the public is on one side (say NE at -3), the next move is to bump the NE line up to at least -4 so bettors will put money on the other side (Denver) to balance the action. In this case the line either stayed the same or went down to -2.5, causing even MORE people to bet NE.

Is it fixed? I don't know, but something is fishy.
