Did Tony Stewart Kill Someone Tonight?

I'm seeing it on Twitter. On my phone and can't link. One of his fans says he ran over someone on a yellow and should be arrested for it.

One is wearing yellow, with flashing lights and reflective gear, authorized to be on the track, trying to get to a crash.

The other is wearing black, supposed to have been in car, instead, walking into traffic, specifically directly at tony stewart, head on?

Just playing devils advocate here.

I understand but both are people around the same size. It's not a stretch to think he should have seen the guy.

One is actively avoiding traffic, the other one is walking into it as if immune to harm.

I find it hilarious that now he's suddenly dropping out of races because he's so stricken with grief yet he was ready to race the day after the incident until the media backlash.

Maybe he was in shock. THen when you have time to think about it, your brain and your train of thought starts thinking differently. The human mind can **** with you big time. He could also just not be racing because of the backlash people would give him. Who knows. I never killed anyone on purpose or by accident.

I find it not hilarious that he has to live with this the rest of your life.

A lot of drivers believe in Karma or have some kind of silly superstitions. Mowing down a fellow driver on the track probably isn't something most drivers want to load their negative Karma up with. Also a reason I am sure Steward did NOT do it on purpose.

Don't want to die? Yell at fellow drivers from pit row, not while blocking the normal racing line on a dirt oval track.

He never told anyone he was going to race. That came from someone in his camp who likely didn't hear anything from Stewart one way or another at that point.

One thing I do know is that Tony Stewart never went out on that track thinking, "man, if I get the chance I'm going to run over and kill a fellow driver tonight." I'm sure the entire incident is weighing heavily on him, regardless of whether or not is was a complete accident or he intended to scare the kid by flipping dirt at him.

No matter, the intent, there is a level of guilt there that he took the life of another driver in a sport he has worked VERY hard to make advances to protect fellow drivers from injury, more or less death.

Tony Stewart may be gritty and hard-nosed racing, but the guy has shown he is passionate about the sport and making it as safe as possible. Is he torn up about it? I guarantee it.

He should have been in shock as soon as he realized what he did. What, it takes hours for it to register that you've just killed a person? From the second he heard that Ward was dead, it shouldn't have even crossed his mind to race the next day.

I've never killed anyone either, but even if I did it accidentally, I don't think going to work the next day would be something I'd consider or say to be "business as usual"

It came from his team manager. I'm 100% sure that his manager talked to him about it.

That's just what I heard. I was there to hear him to tell his team manager that so I'm not 100% sure he didn't.

Yeah, I'm sure Stewart and the team manager had no communication with each other before a Sprint Cup race and after he killed someone.

100% sure?

Perhaps the next time you talk to Tony or his manager, you could ask them if he did this on purpose. Then this whole thread would have its answer.
