Yeah, I caught the tail end of it. Applying logic/modern NFL realities/positional value appropriately, it looks like.

And I think he makes a great point about the extremely high risk associated with waiting until No. 34 to try and grab a QB.

Yeah, I wonder how long it will take "experts" at ESPN to catch up. If someone is clearly not going to be available outside the top 15, then they have a top 15 draft grade.

I think it's hypocritical and hilarious that some experts have NO problem assigning higher positional value to a LT than a C or G or a WR than a FB or a DE/pass rusher over a 3/4 ILB, but they refuse to update the amount of positional value assigned to QBs.

We're already starting to see more and more mock drafts have us picking Geno at 1. I think it's just a matter of time.

Who are the LTs for the Pats, Giants, Niners, Ravens, Texans, Packers, Broncos?

Is Albert as good or better than those guys? My guess is, hes probably just as good as a few of those guys.

The trend went the wrong way for a few weeks there in mid-January, but it seems to be correcting now.

The Matt Miller-led furor over Luke "Jon Ogden despite being 4 inches shorter and 40 pounds lighter" Joeckel is fading a little bit, some of that due to the impressive showing from Eric Fisher at the Senior Bowl, some of that due to people just wising up...

As such, unless Reid is confident he can resurrect Matt Cassel's career or the team is able to land another veteran passer via trade or free agency, the team could ultimately be forced to draft a quarterback here. Smith is far from the "sure thing" that Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III were a year ago but possesses all of the physical traits to become an NFL star. Reid's success developing quarterbacks in Philadelphia, as well as Dorsey's ability to draft them in Green Bay, made them attractive hires in Kansas City. Make no mistake, selecting Smith would be both a gamble and a reach but to take a better player at a position of lesser importance would only guarantee more mediocrity.
