I admit to something kind of petty.

When I take a flight, it's nearly always a round trip on the same airline. On the trip out, I do the crossword puzzle in the inflight magazine. On the way back, if there's someone next to me, I'll take out the magazine, which is almost always the same issue, and I'll do the crossword puzzle lightning fast while we're taxiing since I can remember the answers, just so the person next to me will think I'm some sort of savant. No one has ever said anything, but I like to think that they notice.

When I was in the Navy and lived on the ship, on nights when we were in port someone would usually order pizza, and if that someone was me, by the time all my buddies got done mooching slices I'd be lucky to have two or three pieces left. So I started ordering pizza with anchovies. They weren't my favorite, but I didn't mind them. So when the pizza moochers showed up asking for a slice, I'd say "help yourself, but it's got anchovies on it." Only one other person would eat it.

Of course, since I'd offered, I could still mooch off everybody else.

Usually so. But some of them are good at using shadow and light to perfection that it's hard to tell. I don't talk to them unless they have at least one head to toe photo

Now THIS is some petty bullshit, that I would totally do. Not taking upskirt shots at the mall, or lying on an airplane to get preferential seating, or stealing from your co workers. That's pure scumbaggery, not pettiness.

In college a couple of girls started pulling some pranks-dirty tricks on my roomate and I. One day they broke into our dorm and tool some items and wrecked the joint.

We retaliated and dumped their underwear drawers into a pillow case and left a note saying they could find their unmentionables at center court. *someone* made a brown in a paper bag that said "free brownies" and it was left in their dorm fridge.

A truce was called soon after. #afridgetoofar

After a while it was easy to figure it out by how they took the picture. A lot of times it would be a head shot from a side angle that made it hard to notice the extra chins.

Yep. They hold it over their head and it's like a time machine that goes back a few years taking some lbs with it. But if I do it I'm a bad guy

When I play video games with my nephew I show no mercy. He's 9 and has been conditioned to always get to win at everything by the family. So I annihilate him at video games and he doesn't ask me to play any more, relieving me of the duty of entertaining him also.

I would define petty as being something that the logical part of your brain realizes has no significant impact on anything, but you nonetheless do it.
