What keeps tickling my brain is the thought of Jamaal returning for week 17/the playoffs.
He's basically on a full year and a half rest, and his most recent surgeries were minimally invasive meniscus adjustments. He had 2 because you would rarely do both knees at the same time. On his limited touches earlier this year, he bust a 16 yarder and I was like, uhhhh ohhhh. He's baaaaaack. (He wasn't). But, if he can come back and give us a month long stretch, defenses will have to honor his presence along with the rest of our weapons.

So with the safety sack by Houston can we do the same play with Dee Ford playing on the left side? Would that be a good way to get Ford, Hali and Houston all on the field at the same time? I just want to watch those guys wreak havoc on Ryan and all pencil neck* QBs.

If this team can a) win the division and get a bye, b) get Maclin, Poe, Ford, Nelson, Howard back and healthy, c) dodge injuries in the playoffs (which never happens for us) - I think they'd be marginal SB favorites. I like our chances even in a rematch at Foxboro. And the NFC sux this year.
Sunday's game should be a good preview if they really get Maclin and Ford back. If they come out strong and win fairly easily - I'm going to start getting my hopes up. |

I have a hard time believing that the networks or Vegas would see any team from the AFC as favorites, especially the Chiefs. |

However, their offense is so damn good. If Seattle can get healthy, they can give them a game I think. I think the Falcons are a tough matchup for the Cowboys as well. |
