The only real indefensible decision he made was failing to utilize the bench more.
... and none of those limitations have been improved. They've just been replaced by question marks.

Which is why we'll probably go with defense in the first round and see if a WR falls to us in the third.

Otherwise, it will be yet another 3rd round tight end for ol' KC.

It appears to me that the plan was likely to sign a WR (sanders), which would allow us to draft a pass rusher/def. lineman in the first (dee ford or Tuitt), and go with a guard in the third. I just doubt the plan was to take a lineman in the first round.

Pretty much. Loosing Sanders and no 2nd round pick is killing us right now. If there's ever been a year where we've needed a trade down- this is it.

This is actually a pretty good guy to bring in.

I hope we sign him to a multiverse deal cause the guy can play...when he is healthy.

More pass rush, and better Secondary play improves the D.

We Can be better that 2013.
They might be better but the W-L record will be worse. If they can still get into the playoffs that should make them a better, tougher team than last year to go farther.

It feels like the '04 season to me...The Chiefs did virtually nothing to improve that off season after a 9-0 start and return to the playoffs in '03, only to fall flat on their faces, finish 7-9 and miss the playoffs. FF 10 years and I bet this season ends the same way. Not saying that season has anything to do with the upcoming one, but I do remember thinking WTF about not doing anything, coming off a successful season, like I am now. The same rule always applies whereby if you're not getting better, you're getting worse...
