What should his punishment be?

Be as creative as possible

Dad allegedly bashes 6-week-old girl, puts baby in freezer to stop crying

Tyler James Deutsch, 25, says he doesn't know how his daughter ended up in freezer with a broken arm, broken leg, a head injury and a core temperature of 84 degrees.

Tyler Deutsch — wearing a suicide smock — pleaded not guilty to charges of child assault, criminal mistreatment and interfering with reporting of domestic violence Tuesday in Tacoma, Wash.

An exhausted Washington dad slammed his tiny daughter in a freezer for more than an hour to stop her from crying, police said.

Tyler James Deutsch, 25, allegedly dumped the 6-week-old girl in the 10-degree ice box at his trailer in Roy on Saturday - and then fell asleep.

He only woke up when he heard the child's 22-year-old mom returning. She walked in to find him taking the baby, who was only wearing a diaper, out of the unit.

Deutsch allegedly beat the 6-week-old girl, put her in the 10-degree freezer and then fell asleep his trailer in Roy.

Horrified, the mom tried to dial 911.

But Deutsch allegedly snatched the phone away to stop her - so she ran to the trailer park landlord's office to complete the emergency call.

Deutsch appeared in court in Tacoma on Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty to charges of child assault, criminal mistreatment and interfering with reporting of domestic violence.

KOMO

The girl's horrified mother returned from work to find her daughter badly abused at their Roy home.

Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist told the court that the child's core temperature fell to 84 degrees.

She also had a broken arm, a broken leg, and blisters on her feet and a head injury. She is, however, expected to survive.

Deutsch, who faces life in prison if convicted, denies the charges.
Instead, he claims he woke up to find the baby missing from his side and doesn't know how she ended up inside the freezer.

His bail was set at $1 million and he will next appear in court on May 28, reports The News Tribune.

I say break a few of his bones and jam him in a freezer until he's near death. Remove, revive, and repeat every ****ing day for an entire year, or until he expires.
Yup. Punishment should always be what the convicted person had done to the victim.

In this case, break his arm and leg, bash his skull and stick him in a freezer for an hour. Then Kill him.

I have to admit, being the proud parent of my first kid who just turned six weeks old, I am pretty upset.....and I only read the topic title. I need to learn to detatch my family when hearing about these disgusting acts and reaffirm that I'm going to be a great father for my daughter.

Sorry for killing the "humor" of the topic, but its just so....demoralizing hearing things like this.

Punishment? Season Tickets to the Royals. Cruel and Unusual? Yes, but the crime certainly fits the punishment.

Of course cruelty to children isn't funny.

I have a 1-year-old son who has acid reflux due to his LES (valve separating your throat and stomach) not closing properly. For the first 9 months of his life he had to sleep at a 20°-30° angle. He's still on medication three times a day to control his reflux. When he was very young it was extremely difficult. As you can imagine, sleeping at an angle all the time is not very comfortable, and there would be very frequent waking in pain for my son. His sleep would be interrupted every 20 minutes to 1.5 hours at night, and he didn't take naps until he was 4 months old.

As a parent caring for the child in that situation, you become exhausted and frustrated very quickly. If you get truly exhausted, you start to think and feel in ways that you probably never would have before. Fortunately, my wife and I were both already 30 years old and financially stable when we had our child. We had a strong relationship for ten years at that point and were able to rely on each other when things got tough. I can't imagine a situation where I was a young kid, not having been with my wife for very long, and under financial stresses having to take care of the child like this. I'm guessing they trade care shifts for the child with both working, which can be very difficult. We were mature enough and had the rest of our life together enough to where we could still put our frustrations into focus. But it isn't easy.

It would only take one snap of will to ruin the lives of everyone in the family. Being a parent in some situations can be extremely difficult. As TinyEvil said, if you're not ready for it, wrap it up.

He should be put in a cell with no daylight that has nothing but a toilet. Then, he should be forced to listen to a recordings of babies crying for the rest of his life. Last, he should have to eat baby food and nothing else.

Death is to easy for this guy.

I think he should be beaten, put in a freezer for longer than the baby was, then anally raped by a tractor.

Either that, or throw his ass into Silent Hill. The one with the baby monsters.
