Yes, he was considered an good prospect during his junior season. My point was in reference to Rodgers who after the combine, pro days and full evaluation was neck and neck with Smith a week before the draft. You are trying to compare apples and elephant shit.

He might be, but a 5 inch dick in the ass is better then an 8 inch dick in the ass I imagine as well.

I have no doubt we'll be better then this year. It's hard not to be.

Agreed. He will be allowed to get a 2nd QB before getting the ax.

For now they'll win a bit more, a few more people will be in the seats, and banners won't be flying so Clark will be a happy man.

Unless every single coach the Chiefs hired this offseason is a fraud, there's no way this team has a losing season in 2013, outside of catastrophic injury.
There is a YEARS LONG mindset of losing and failure, a few holes yet to fill, and the psychological effect of a team being the WORST IN THE ****ING LEAGUE.

I think the best, ever, recovery from worst to first was 3 wins to 13.

We have yet to see the draft but I see no way this team, at best, tops 9 wins even with luck...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Locker, Ponder and Gabbert were all overdrafted and are all bordering on being labeled "Busts".

Riiiight. That's why guys like Dalton and Wilson and Kaepernick, who've all won playoff games, slipped outside of the first round since the new CBA.

These guys are just impossible to find!

That's ****ing bullshit. Landry Jones wouldn't have gone Top Ten after the Combines, Pro Day workouts, etc.

You're talking out of your ass. Or better yet, you're talking out of Mel Kiper's ass. I'm not sure which is worse.

Exactly. You made my point. Likely Barkley wouldn't have either which was the point. The same guys that had Barkely neck and neck with Luck had Jones in the top 10.

I don't think Dalton is all that great and I'm not ready to crown anybody's ass taken in the last 2 drafts yet. That includes Luck and RG3 who people are already annointing as the next Brady/Manning.

Barkley is the next Cassel.

He's got an incredibly high QB IQ but $3its his pants when the pressure is on.

I want no part of that...

Dude, the Chiefs have not only acquired talented CB's, a TE, a DE, etc. in free agency AND upgraded the QB position, they've hired the most competent coaching staff since the Vermeil era and more likely, the Schottenheimer era.

Everyone that watched the Chiefs from Schottenheimer to Cunningham saw a dropoff in coaching. Everyone saw an upgrade from Cunningham to Vermeil and a massive dropoff yet again when Herm took over.

I was no fan of Haley's but he was clearly more competent than Crennel and from Crennel to Reid is MASSIVE, not to mention, Pioli's early moves versus Dorsey.

This team will be massively improved this season. If not, it'll be because of catastrophic injury or the failure of the QB. If it's the QB, they'll find someone in 2014.

Andy Dalton is a playoff game winner, something the Chiefs haven't had since Joe Montana. Can he win a Super Bowl? No idea. But I'd take him over just about anyone the Chiefs have had in the past 20 years.

If you don't think Andrew Luck is an elite QB already, then clearly, you haven't seen him play.

This is untrue.

Lane Kiffin deserves the lion's share of the blame for Barkley's down year in 2012. Everyone in Los Angeles had been calling for his head and he was forced to fire his father because the defense way underperformed.

Barkley's shoulder injury was the worst thing that could happen to him because he couldn't play in the Senior Bowl or participate in the Combines.

The bottom line is that in eleven games this past season, Barkley had 3200 yards, 36 TD's and 15 INT's. Those are great numbers for a guy that was a four year starter. Had he not been injured, he most certainly would be a Top Ten guy.

Dalton might be Trent Green. I don't think he sucks, but I'm not sure if he is going to be a perennial playoff winner the next decade.

Luck has flashed, but his overall numbers were lackluster. He'll likely put it together, but I'm not getting out the annointing oil just yet for these guys based on a season or two.

C'mon, Give him a little more credit than that. @ USC...

Barkley: 12,327 yards, 116 TD's
