Back up your shit. Right click on it in iTunes, Transfer purchases. Then right click back up.

My iPod Touch had the same issue. Could barely hold a charge through a run. I got it for free with my laptop, so I didn't give a shit really; I just figured it was a lemon. Then one day it went insane and I had to reset it... perfect battery life after.
