Old School Video Games

I recently bought Twisted Metal 2 (pic below) for the original playstation on Amazon to get down on some nostalgia gaming. It got me wondering...what other old school games have I completely forgotten about.

What are some gems from the old school days that you guys enjoyed?

For the purpose of the thread, we'll call anything prior to the 360/PS3 gen old school.

I understand that it can be fun to collect things, but I'd rather just collect the ROMs. I used to have a CD with something like 900 SNES games on it. You could grab something like a Kangaroo PC and emulate a shit ton of games. Fit your entire library on a box the size of a large cell phone and hook it up to your TV. Have maybe three wireless controllers and you could play every game system with at least one of them.

I actually have plans drawn up to build a multi-ROM arcade machine that will be based on a Windows computer loaded up with all available emulators. Mounted in an arcade style stand up station. Just don't have room for it yet.

I use to think this way - and this lead to me selling all my stuff from childhood...

Unfortunately Emulators are not perfect...
