-- I realize I'm late to the show - 90's alternative help.......?
Hey guys - I'm looking for some bands similar to STP or Dinosaur Jr. I like the tracks that were popular enough to remember - however not the ones that were beaten to death by mainstream. It's a fine line.
Here's an example of what I'm looking for in this genre... http://tinyurl.com/mnkvzy If you all can help, that'd be great - I was listening mostly to hip-hop and electronica, even back then. So I missed a decade - aside from the Counting Crows and maybe Smashing Pumpkins - so eliminate those, please. Sisters of Mercy...??? The video I posted is precisely the style, and level of popularity (at that time) that I am looking for Any help? |

Not fitting SR's criteria, but I may have been down with Paw and Tenderloin; may have even rock out at a Stick show.

Jesus Lizard are great. CP is full of cool kids.
To answer the OP, Mother Love Bone (remnants ended up in Pearl Jam) and Tad, both Seattle bands better than STP. |
