It may actually be the muffler. If it's a dual inlet they are pretty noisy and rust out.
I put one on two Weeks ago for 125. Probably be twice that there though lol Posted via Mobile Device Edit: whoops just saw they had a new muffler, might just be a bad weld, and those things always find loud to me |

Sadly, I was absent from the board for the Dee Ford draft pick (took a year off after Indy) but my search for the draft thread turned up this old sucker.
Guru, did you end up buying this thing? If so, how'd it work out for ya?

But did it make it a year? You don't get forever for $1,500...

There we go...
http://chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthrea...light=explorer February of '15. Hey, that's 24 months of car for $1,500. That's a damn bargain right there. And you could probably get at least few hundred back as a charity write-off, if not a little more if you sent it for salvage.

Used cars are so expensive right now. You can't get shit for under $5000 anymore, it seems. My first car (in 1980) was a six year old Gran Torino with 33,000 miles for $650. That's around $2800 in today's dollars. You can't find anything with fewer than 100K miles for that (though it could be argued a mid-'70s Ford with 33k miles is comparable to a newer car with higher miles).
My in-laws just traded their 2006 Accord EX with 215k miles for $2125. I wish I knew. I would have given them $3000 and could have easily sold it here for $4-5,000. Most of the miles were highway miles from their frequent trips around the US. |
