I actually thought that level wasn't even the hardest one in the game. I always struggled with the next stage on the rooftops. That one was difficult as hell. TMNT was a damn tough game. It was close to Battletoads for the most part but Battletoads had that damn cart stage and that's what set it apart.

My greatest game achievement came about a month ago in WoW. Most will have no clue what im talking about, so i've been reluctant to mention it. I can't even begin to explain how perfect you have to play your character to beat this encounter.....and the fight is about 8 minutes long, non stop, perfection. You mess up once, and it's instant death-one shotted.
Anyway, WoW introduced an encounter for the Warlock class only that changes their fire spells from red to green. It's a solo encounter that pits you against a bad ass boss with a lot of difficult, frustrating mechanics. It took me about 70 attempts to beat it and i did it with a poor gear score. It's the hardest thing i've ever done in WoW or in a video game in general, and tons of Warlocks are crying for Blizzard to nerf it on the forums because its "impossible". I have Warlocks in my guild with way better gear than me still trying to do it and can't. It was so intense that when i finished the encounter my hands were shaking. I had to take a walk just to chill out because i was so amped up. Last edited by ToxSocks; 04-18-2013 at 03:44 PM.. |

How's this for some crazy shit:
I found out in one of my classes yesterday that one of my students participated in the infamous WoW attack "Serenity Now Bombs a Funeral". When I have them perform a cultural analysis I almost always use that video as a teaching tool as an example of how we allow virtual interactions to occupy as much time and emotion and physical interactions. It was basically a million to one shot.

That's a great feeling in an MMO. I solo almost exclusively in these games, and doing stuff that other people won't even try is a rush.

For anyone who doesn't know what he's talking about, several years ago some WoW guild planned an in game ceremony for one of their friends who had died. They posted about it on the forums and another guild "serenity now" decided to wreck the funeral ceremony. I thought it was awesome. Video starts around 2:50 |

Then on BattleToads I did the same thing where I memorized the cart stage front and back, and then I would get hung up on the snake stage right after. It made no sense sometimes. |

Mine has to be .... I had a 20 game win streak in NCAA football 2007. I know it's weak but it made my season. I OWNED on Final Fantasy 1 I bet to this day I could beat that game w/ 4 white mages in about 24 hours.
My crowning achievement though, and this isn't relevant to online play but... I have this friend who is just a natural shit talker and is GOOD at video games. We played MLB 2002 (I think hell I can't remember) with like 5-6 of our friends watching. Well he's just kicking my ass 9-0 talking non-stop heavy duty mad shit to me while I didn't say a word. All the way up to the the bottom of the 9th and I slowly and I mean slowly came back.....one single here one there a double etc etc I never said a word and I beat him 10-9 One more good one I have is my brother in law is a Worthless piece of shit. He tried to tell me one day that everything I have is on account of his family (because I married his sister who makes OK money, but I make OK money too NOTHING SPECIAL FOR EITHER OF US or any other working family) Dude tell's me why don't you go cook me some food (meanwhile he's unemployed leaching from his mom) I say why don't you go play another 10 games of Madden..You'll still suck at it just like you do at life bitch! And I'll kick your ass at MADDEN too bitch! ( I had just kicked his ass on his own system PS2 I played Xbox 360) even though he didn't work or go to college and literally sat around and played THAT game all day .) Man I have never been in a room where such a small group of people just ERUPTED like that one did after I said that. |

I haven't played MVP so, I don't know if this is equivalent...
I pitched a perfect game with J Verlander in MLB 2k7 with Barry Zito in 2k10 with Wakefield in 2k10 (10 innings vs. Yankees) and a no hitter with Dickey in 2k11 (was perfect through 7 1/3 until I hit a batter)
