Thats the part where he doesnt get off for free. The NFL will ding him for that alone. Morally, someone could have been hurt badly and you just fled the scene. Thats not kosher at all. Just because no one was seriously injured, Rice didn't know that when he fled the scene.

Well, you know, besides the whole fleeing the scene thing. That was rather ****ish.

Regardless of how this turns out, Veach will want to think long and hard about extending this guy with a big paycheck.

At best, he’s an idiot with some major growing up to do. At worst, he’s a piece of shit.

Luckily, that isn’t a decision the Chiefs have to make any time soon.

I’m also against releasing him (unless someone is dead or seriously hurt). That will just reward some other team. It doesn’t punish Rice. He’ll still make good money for someone else and get to earn that big pay day.

I dunno if people here are upset about the street racing. You're right, young kids do dumb stuff, but to not check to see if anyone is hurt?

I was in a hit n run a few weeks ago by a guy in a truck who ran a red light. I'm not mad at the guy for running a red light (we've all broken traffic laws), but I am angry about him not stopping to check to see if I was ok.

That's what I would be upset about in this situation regarding Rashee

I don't think the bag and guns are a worry (if this is even true). They can't prove what is in it and if the guns are illegal.

The biggest thing that bothers me is there were people injured and they didn't seem to care.

I bet Rice will turn himself in tomorrow morning. Then hopefully we’ll begin to learn more about where this case is headed and how it ends, at least from the law enforcement perspective. The NFL is surely monitoring and will take their own actions.

Priority should be moving ahead of Buffalo and Baltimore to select one of the top 5 WR's.

If his first instinct when he ****s up is to run away, that is concerning

Chiefs would be wise to see Rice as a luxury (for awhile at least).

I wouldn’t want to depend on him by any stretch.

It looks like Rice and everyone else has escaped tragedy. All that's left is the price of his stupidity and the evaluation of weather or not this is who he is or just one of his worst moments.

The team will decide that. I hope it's a momentary lapse of reason...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
