How is it not an excuse? He CHOSE this. To him it was apparently the best opportunity he had to have success. He was behind many if not all of the major moves the Cavs have made the past two years. If the team around him isn't good enough, that's his fault.

I was simply stating who is more valuable to their team. Cleveland is nothing without him, Golden State would still be a pretty damn good team. |

Kyrie and Love are pretty dang good players though. Hard to tell. IMO, GS without Curry is a 50 win team.

I agree. It's a knock on LeBron the personnel guy. But as a player, he's the most important by a mile to the team

curry is the best 3pt shooter ever, but that doesn't mean he is the goat of offensive game. Lebron's offensive game causes defenders to get into foul trouble and he usually finishes three point plays

Bwahahaha!! I guess Jordan couldn't either. Weak. You saw the send off kobe got. That is reserved for true legends, not manufactured legends like lebrick. Even that game got higher ratings than GS breaking the record. And we had a terrible year. The respect for the mamba was evident. Never saw a players last game create so much interest. I have seen him live many times and the reaction to him from the crowd was reminiscent of what I saw when watching dr J and MJ live. Lebrick doesn't put me at the edge of my seat. Sorry. Pampered loser

And even if you use that ridiculous he gets fouled argument, Curry is still better. He shot 400 free throws at 91% whereas LeBron shot 429 free throws at 73%. So even though Curry got fouled less, he still completed more 3 point plays and scored more points from the free throw line than LeBron.

First, the Cavs are 4-13 the past 2 seasons with Lebron out. The Warriors were 4-2 without Curry in playoff games. Second, the finals last year was an interesting snapshot. Lebron had maybe the highest usage rate in playoff history and winded up having a monster series. Not figuratively... but literally, he was the only guy on the entire Cavs team making any shots (Kyrie/Love were out, JR smith had a horrendous series, Shumpert was playing at 50%, Mozgov/Tristan/Delly aren't scorers). The Cavs ran the entire offense through Lebron including having him play PG. Meanwhile, the Cavs doubled Curry/Klay all series long. He was neutralized until game 5 when Iguodala started hitting open shots. Moral of the story? Curry beats you because if you put more attention on him, they have unbelievable shooters even at both Forward positions who can hit shots. So the question is, if you put Curry in a finals series with Dellavadova, Tristan Thompson, Mozgov, and JR Smith as your supporting cast... how would he do? That's where I see Lebron with the clear advantage. |

Warriors might have actually lost that Blazers series without Curry coming back. Just saying. Without his clutch ability to sink shots and draw attention on the offensive side of the ball, they would have easily lost the last two games of the series with the way they were going.
Also, you act like Curry being the the floor has no effect on what other teams are forced to do defensively. Warriors don't get anywhere close to 73 wins this year without Curry and they sure as hell don't win a championship last year without him either. |

How do you measure defense? Curry is a key piece on a team that plays great team defense. Of course he's not going to be stuck ISO on a man like LeBron does.
And they're both very good passers. It's a tie at best in the passing department. Posted via Mobile Device |
