Wow, Looper was pretty damn good. Impressive. I particularly noticed how much JGL had the mannerisms and patterns of Bruce Willis down.

Based on the trailer, this looks terrible, way too lighthearted and jokey... if Willis wanted one last big hit out of this franchise, he would've insisted on something more serious in tone.
What i've seen totally reminded me of Charlies Angels, too much corn and completely unbelievable action sequences. I mean, ya gotta have John McClain deliver some one liners or it wouldnt be Die Hard, but still, this looks far too corny. |

They always make money. This one will too. It is what it is.

I'm going to go see Django a second time tonight at the Alamo Drafthouse (first time there). Watched Les Mis the other night. Very good, very enjoyable, except how/why the **** did Russel Crowe get cast, and at some point how did somebody not say, "Ok, this obviously isn't going to work. You are just dreadful. Please leave and save us all a lot of trouble, as well as make this film much much more enjoyable for all audience members."?
Also, I got bored/stoned last night and watch Kid in Kind Arthur's Court.. Kate Winslet turns in a great performace as usual, and even Daniel Craig did a great job. I particularly loved how they saved money on production by crocheting the chainmail from wool. Brilliant move.

One of my guilty pleasures is flipping through the horror section on Netflix streaming and picking out random flicks to try out. 99.999999999% of them are god-awful but I saw an interesting flick last week. It's called Pontypool. It's a Canadian film that has a real unique take on zombies and most of the movie takes place in a radio station (thus cheap to make) and tells a lot of the story from the point of view of a radio host during a zombie outbreak. It's not Oscar material but an interesting 90 minutes or so.
