Smith and team had the team locked in to a tie... despite the drops and other failures from Smith himself. I am no longer (nor have ever truly been) set on Smith being beyond reproach. He didn't do all he could have. Can we say that any Chief did?

you also can't have it both ways

if you can only win football games with a good QB ... you can't explain our 11, 9, 11 and 12 win seasons

so either football is actually a team game, or Alex Smith is actually a good QB. I'm going to go somewhere in the middle. We're a very well coached team with a very good roster that is limited by a very risk averse QB who generally won't lose games with terrible decision making but isn't going to Aaron Rodgers us to victories ... ever.

It's very boring and very stale football. I'm over it. Romo time.

Because it's not as simple as looking at a single play at the end of the game and saying, that's it, that's the one, that's the play that cost us the game.

You bring it upon yourself when you focus on that one play and say, it was Eric Fisher that sunk the ship, not Alex. For the record, I think the whole ****ing offense sunk the ship that night.

But to look at that single play at the end of the game, because it suits an agenda you've pushed since day one, and say that's the play that cost us the game. Nope. You can't do that and not expect to be called out on it by a mod or anyone else.

Yeah, we were there at the end of the game, sure. But had Smith not missed those easy reads, it's not even a close game. Had Kelce not dropped passes and racked up stupid penalties, it's not a close game.

But you weren't doing that. You wanted to take focus off of the entire game because Alex played like shit for the most part, and focus it on one play because you can point out a specific hold that clears Alex of any fault. Thats why you ended your post with, "It was Fisher that sunk the Chiefs ship, not Alex."

You can't post biased drivel like that, and then scream, "React to the post, not the poster." I was reacting to the post. The post was shit. The post was bias. The post was agenda driven.

I'm neither for or against Alex. I, like hootie mentioned earlier, think we won the Alex trade. He has come in and stabilized the QB position. But he is terribly limited. We've reached as far as we're going to go with him. He's got an outstanding supporting cast right now, and he's just not capable of taking them to the next level. Brady, Manning, Ben....those guys aren't missing those shots to Tyreek that Alex missed. That's why they're constantly in the Super Bowl and Alex will constantly have the Chiefs falling short.
