Peacock exclusive playoff game is stupid

Bad move by the league. Quit being greedy and keeping your customers from watching your product.

Surely they wont put Mahomes in that game but who knows.

But I waited and watched the re broadcast on NFL network. I'm among the tiny minority that can actually go a few hours without getting a spoiler.

So I guess as long as the NFL continues licensing NFL network to YouTube TV and showing any "exclusively" streamed games on NFLN within a few hours

I was already a YouTube TV subscriber. YouTube TV is my one and only monthly subscription for "TV' stuff.

If the NFL makes it easy for me to watch, I will. It was easy to sign on Sunday Ticket because YouTube happened to win that.

I watched the Thursday games because I already had Prime. I would not have signed up for Prime to watch to watch them.

I don't watch the Jayhawk basketball games in ESPN+.

I can't totally say that I owuldn't have paid $5 to see Brady eat shit in a WC game
How about the casual viewers who are not 100% invested in the NFL/Chiefs? Especially NFC team fans. Who would start out watching to see if it is a good game but aren't hard core lovers or haters?

Not everyone eats football 24/7.

A few years back I thought about getting back into watching hockey. The only team showing up on TV regularly for free was San Jose Sharks who appeared to be trending down. San Jose is not that close to me and I have no attachment to that area or team.

There didn't appear to be any easy, cheap options for following good teams and good games...

Just for a casual fan to see if he wanted to get back into, so I didn't.

Now the NFL, still has a much bigger broadcast footprint than that, but if they go down the road of putting content behind four or more different paywalls...

I doubt it has anything to do with being a better fan, some people just see that change is inevitable and the bitching is a waste of time/energy.

Will NFL end up like boxing? Maybe...in 50 years. People said football was in trouble when the CTE/concussion stuff came out, that doesn't appear to be the case.

Yes, myself and many others are resistant to change like this and thats obviously a huge part of the griping

But as for CP, its the basically being told to shut up about it part that gets me tuned up... its a message board with a thread dedicated to this very subject, so where else are we supposed to talk about it?

I use Brave browser. Takes less than 2 minutes to download. Knocks out all the redirects and popups. Don't have to deal with them at all. You click on the event, you go directly to the event. I downloaded Brave browser for this specific reason, but I liked it so much compared to the others that I ended up using it for everything else as well. Very easy to import all your bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox, etc. But I have friends who only use it for pirating, so you can do whatever you want. The only reason I even have Chrome still installed is because for some odd reason, the Amazon Prime video format is not supported on Brave.

I have 500 mbps internet speed. $95/mo with Cox in Phoenix metro. Multiple people in my house can be streaming at the same time with zero issues. Perhaps this is why you guys keep having problems with frequent crashing? What is your internet speed? Crashing did happen to me more frequently when I had slower internet.

So I use Brave browser, my internet speed is good, so the only other variable is what streaming websites you're using. My two go-to's are:

1. https://720pstream.nu/
2. https://www.thestreameast.to/v2/

In the EXTREMELY rare event that those aren't stable enough, I go to:

3. https://v2.sportsurge.net/home3/ - sports surge is a website that aggregates tons of streaming sites (crackstream, markystream, etc)

It always surprises me when I hear people talk about not being able to get these streams to work, because I use them completely trouble-free 99% of the time. I love them, especially because on things like the NHL, MLB, and NBA, you can choose the feed you watch. For example, I stream a ton of Avs hockey, and I can listen to the local broadcast with the Avs normal announcers that I became accostomed to when I lived in Colorado.
Late-breaking caveat that just started happening for the first time ever a couple days ago, so that any of you who followed this protocol don’t think you’re going crazy:

Streameast no longer works on Brave browser. You get an error message from Streameast indicating that their video will no longer play on Brave due to “security reasons” - which means they found out that Brave blocks all their popup ads and enough people are now using Brave that was becoming an issue with the companies paying for those ads. Brave is way more secure than Firefox, Chrome, and MS Edge.

So I now have to use Chrome if I need to go to Streameast, which is my backup to my go-to, 720pstream. Which means I have to deal with the annoying popups. It’s easy to exit out of the popups and redirects (3 usually) though so it’s not a big deal.
