That Sembower artist dude needs to do a HDH Cyborg themed painting. I'd ****ing buy it. I think he opened up a store at some mall...maybe Oak Park Mall perhaps? I dunno...thought I saw an article on FB about it.

I think that would be really cool. Doesn't he post here or used to?

Most importantly, we finished before the Yankees game, which is now in the 18th inning.

I agree. But Holland has 2 pitches, basically. You can guess and get lucky with Holland easier than Davis.

Davis?

He has a nasty curve, a filthy cutter, and an elite fastball. I mean, I've watched about 70 outings of just pure misery from the hitters. They have no clue. 97 MPH fastballs right down the middle get punch outs because they have no idea what to expect on any count.

Davis is the best reliever in baseball if you ask me. Not just the AL. He's not even fair.

Andrew Miller ... well ... now he is a cyborg.

Yeah.

That's why you have to look at whether a reliever has a track record before predicting a lot of regression.

That's why projections have been wrong about Kimbrel and holland each of the past two years. At some point, you just have to say "this is who they are and what they do."

3 of the best 10? Sure. 3 of the best 5? Maybe. I mean, there are about 7 or 8 guys who you can argue any order.

Kimbrel
Chapman
Andrew Miller
HDH
Betances was dominant last year to say the least

I refuse to put any guy in this category who can't gas it up to 97 or higher, though. Holland was straight nasty when he was throwing 98. He's still a badass, but he's lost 2-3 MPH on his heater in the last half season or so.

I think his cutter is his best pitch, too. That thing is just unhittable.

Best one I've seen since Mariano in his prime.

When you have Holland's slider you only need two pitches. He's not a starting pitcher. Mariano Rivera basically made a living for two decades by throwing the greatest cutter ever.

Holland has posted 1.20 and 1.40 ERAs the last two years with almost 200 strikeouts in about 130 innings... almost all high leverage situations in the American League. He's certainly a bit more wild than Davis, but he's posting all time great numbers.

The Red Sox took the lead in the 18th, and the Yankees have tied it again. Of course. Now trying to win it.

I'm pretty sure Herrera could go up there and as long as he locates where Sal wants him to ONLY his 98-100 MPH heat and be a 2.5 ERA pitcher or lower ... with no secondary pitches.

It's ****ing hard to hit 100 MPH.

I still cannot believe that Wade or Holland hasn't worked with him (and maybe they've tried) to give him one of their secondary pitches. Herrera has a vastly improved changeup, I'll give him that, but he still doesn't have that nasty strikeout pitch. He develops that pitch and MY God.

I mean, our starters have the life. Best defense in baseball. Great pitcher's park. THE FACT THEY KNOW THEY CAN GIVE EXTRA OOMPH BECAUSE WE ONLY REALLY NEED THEM FOR 5-6 INNINGS.

I mean, if Hochevar returns to form ... when the games start to really mean something late ... we will literally not need any of our starters to go past 6 innings ... and we can still rest one of the borgs to make sure they aren't pitching 3 days in a row every single time.

I hope that game goes 40 innings, and both teams collapse from the effort.
