The Royals have announced that they are going to start selling tickets tomorrow for a possible tiebreaker game.
Don't buy one. The odds we'll play a 163rd game in KC are remote. We'd have to finish tied with Oakland for the 2nd wild card with Seattle jumping over both of us.

IIRC it is a refund, not like the Chiefs did with credit.

My work productivity this month has rivaled that of Billy Butler.
If this run continues through October, I'll be the happiest unemployed person in the land. |

Man, I was a nervous wreck last night watching the game. It was like having that old Royals ghost in my room reminding me of all the failures during tense situations. I'd just turn it to MNF, then turn it back after about a minute to see what happened. If this shit continues, I'm not sure what my work will think of me! |

yes, but who needs that kind of hassle for something that has less than a tenth of a percent chance of happening?

Trust me, one thing you should never underestimate is the impatience of true fans.

CLEVELAND -- When Ned Yost manages the Royals against the Indians on Wednesday night, he'll stand alone as the man who has directed the team in the most regular-season games.
Yost tied Dick Howser at 770 Royals games managed on Tuesday night. Howser managed from 1981-86, including the 1985 World Series championship team. He stepped down because of brain cancer, which claimed his life in 1987 at age 51. Asked if he knew Howser, Yost said: "No, but he must have been a heck of a guy because I was in Triple-A and a day after he died, Darryl Motley was on our team and he got a letter from Dick. He wrote all his players right before he died." Howser left behind a record of 404-365 with one tie. Whitey Herzog has the most managerial victories for the Royals with a 410-304 record.

Reading in the game day thread about people posting in the potential playoffs threads that dont normally post being obnoxious. Well I can gaurantee i wont be doing it. Since last year every time I post in a game thread we've lost with the exception of the 4 in the morning cards game last year. I have refused to post in any GDT threads this and wont be starting come potential playoffs time. But I will be keeping up with them as always.
