Two 1st round picks for Russell Wilson in '16 and '17 or '17 and '18

Do you sign the offer sheet if the Seahawks non-exclusively tag Russell Wilson?

Pole cumming.

All you did was look at the box score.

Look at the play by play. Russell Wilson had everything to do with that comeback.

Starting with 9:43 left in the third, he racked up 202 yards of offense and 2 touchdowns. He completed 16 of 19 passes during that portion of the game.

Lynch had 14 carries for 73 yards rushing during that same time period, but 27 of those came on the last two plays of the game in overtime.

So who really led that comeback, genious?

Meanwhile a guy like Alex Smith is lucky to get 200 yards in an entire game.

Maybe next time...do a little research.

That's because Chiefs fans put too much emphasis on regular season statistics.

Because that's all we've had for 23 years.

Meanwhile they scoff at playoff studs like Joe Flacco and Russell Wilson, knowing full well deep in their heart of hearts that if they were Chiefs they would be getting stroked off and being fed grapes constantly.

I don't remember Aaron Rodgers throwing 4 INT's in a playoff game and not having any consequence.

Apparently, you haven't been following all of the reports in which Russell has said he's dealt with the issue of moving on before or that Schneider is unwilling to meet his contract demands because they're unsure if Wilson is a true Franchise QB or a product of a great team around him.

If a deal doesn't get done soon and Wilson plays out the season, only to be Franchised in 2016, there will be a lot of animosity between the player and the front office.

IMO, if you believe he's a Franchise QB, you lock him up now, not a year from now when his price will likely increase due to more salary cap room.

Yet when Alex Smith throws for 378 yards, 4 TD's and another 50 yards on the ground, while on the road in a playoff game after losing his best offensive weapon, you say he's not good enough.

This says everything you need to know. If he's a franchise QB you don't hear this kinda stuff.

I follow reports; I just don't pretend to know what's what. All of it sounds like posturing.

Eventually a deal will get done.

Yes I can.

And here's why:

The Seahawks won that game for the same reason they won the NFC Championship game, which is Russell Wilson playing out of his ****ing gourd in crunch time with the game on the line. Being an ultra-****ing badass when his team needed him the most.

The Chiefs missed the playoffs last year and lost that playoff game because largely, Alex Smith has sucked in the same situations.

He also led the comeback, and you should respect that. Generating over 200 yards of offense and 2 TDs in that short of a time span is leading it, without a question.

You are wrong.

These negotiations mean jack.

The Seahawks took a hard line with Marshawn Lynch, but when push came to shove, they caved.

I expect the same will happen with Wilson.

To be fair both defenses were $#it that day.

Ours mostly due to injury but it was what it was...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

That's irrelevant to Clay's post. He said that regular season stats don't matter but playoff stats matter.

Yet when talking about Alex Smith, he says that playoff stats don't matter, regular season stats matter.

He can't have it both ways.
