Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

He got bad because he got kicked which caused the safety. I would be pissed off if that happened to me as well.

Yeah. It was a lot of things today.
I don't see how it can be debated that....

The defense was horrible and played into the outcome
The weather was poor and played into the outcome
The play calling was uninspiring and played into the outcome
Geno had a weak game and it played into the outcome

Looks like I made the right decision skipping the game.

Not surprised. Syracuse owns WVU lately.

Geno screwed up and didn't like the call and he cried like a baby. I don't remember Manning crying like a baby when he was at Tennessee.

Here's what I didn't see in Geno today. I didn't see a player who "made all the players around him better" or a player who can "put the team on his back". Those are traits that have been posted all over this forum as what people want in a QB. I didn't see it in Geno today.

This is the truth.

Now, does one bad game on a big stage a deal breaker?

But you saw in the eyes of Aaron Curry that he was going to be a great player.

I'm sold.

Let's pass on Geno Smith.

In the end we have a long way to go before the draft. Get rid of Crennel and Pioli, replace them with people that will be effective and good at their job. Then look at QB, whether it be Smith, Wilson, trade, FA, or a combo of things. I'd like Smith. No, he isn't the best college QB I've ever seen, neither was Russell Wilson last year, but he can make all the NFL throws, so the talent is there, will it translate? I don't know, but I'd like to find out.

He grounded the ball because he got kicked in the leg. It wasn't that hard to see.

Thats not the way I saw it, and I'm not alone, even the commentators thought it was the trip as well.

I'm sure you heard exactly what he was yelling at the ref about.

No chance at all that he was yelling about the trip.

None at all.

Hey I want to draft geno, and I will admit he had a bad game and helped contribute to overall bad play by the team. But knowing everything involved with this terrible team, it doesn't hurt his draft stock in my eyes at all.

Dude, I know you like Geno and all, but take your gayass "leadership" platitudes and shove them.

We've had great leaders at the QB position for years who did nothing with that great character of theirs.

Getting pissed off about a call doesn't mean he "cried like a baby." Quit posting in cliches and make an intelligent observation for once.

There are a couple of games from this season that you can find those qualities. If you expect it from any qb every game then you are very unrealistic.

Today geno showed some other things, some good and some bad.

That said, he's the best qb in this draft.
