Veach almost got Honey Badger AND Earl Thomas

(Yes this deserves its own thread)

God this would have been some crazy shit. It’s too bad Baltimore panicked and massively overpaid him on a long term deal.

Can you imagine having both these guys?

I think the Ravens know a thing or two about safeties. I don't think it was a desperate at all. Earl Thomas is a generational player and he's going to shine with the Ravens. Book it.

Why? You might want to research the Safety class while you're at it too.

I think they became super desperate when they lost CJ Mosley. They knew they had to get a playmaker after Weddle, Mosley and Smith were gone.

Signing a 30 year old safety (who broke his leg twice) to a 4 year $55 million deal would have been a terrible move.

High risk high reward.

If he stays healthy, he may still be the best defensive player in football.

Big 'if' tho.

Agreed.
1 year 12 million sounds like a deal though

Mosley is overrated. The only linebacker more overrated than Mosley is Darius Leonard of the Colts.

You can’t include Ragland in there as a big move and leave out some of the other trades that did pan out in the last 1-2 seasons. That wasn’t a huge deal really.

Some people on this forum ragged on me when I said Kelce can't block. I actually watch the game. So I know Kelce can't block, and won't block.

And I saw what garbage Darius Leonard was in the AFC Divisional round against the Chiefs. I challenge you or anyone else who thinks I'm full of it to watch that game. Watch #53, with the white sleeves in that game. He's horrible, he can't even take on blocks. It wouldn't surprise me if a large percentage of his tackles this regular season were 5 yards down the field from the line of scrimmage.

And if you choose not to watch the full game again, at least watch this Damien Williams highlight video of the game. But don't watch Damien Williams, watch Darius Leonard, #53 with the white sleeves.

You see? I actually watch the game unlike you fantasy football lovers, stats this, stats that, OMFGOMG MORE STATS PLEASE!

It's cool you watched one full Colts game and determined that he's the most overrated linebacker in the league. You do realize he played in seventeen other games, no?

I guess Patriots fans who only watched the AFC Championship Game have a case when they declare that Kelce and Hill are the most overrated tight end and wide receiver in the league.

It was when Cleveland obtained OBJ when the Ravens got desperate for Earl Thomas. OBJ was traded on March 12 and Thomas signed with the Ravens the very next day. The Ravens weren't in the picture for Thomas and then they suddenly "swooped in."

No. Its not like that at all because Hill and Kelce are not overrated and Darious Leonard is. Stat fools like you think they know things and have stats to "prove" it.
